Good morning teacher! My full name is Nguyen Thanh Dat.

Today, I’m very glad to be

here to tell you about my hometown. I have visited many places during school
holidays.I’m very excited everytime I go to a new location because it gives me a chance
to explore new things. But, it also help me realize that my hometown is the most
wonderful and peaceful place to live.

I was born and raised in Ha Nam province which is located on South of Red river Delta,
Southern gateway of Ha Noi. Ha Nam is a developing province. It has 1 provincial city, 1
town and 4 districts. As a developing province, Ha Nam is open 24/7 and is home to
many cafes and restaurants serving foods from many countries around the world. The
traffic is bit heavy and life happens very fast. Entertainment centers as well as beautiful
landscapes in Ha Nam could be found easily.

To me what is so unique about Ha Nam is that it has 4 distinct seasons. As Viet Nam has
a tropical climate, summer in Ha Nam is super sticky but there is chilly fall which is also
my favourite season. At this time, I often get around at night by my motorbike to sense
the aromatic scent of milk flowers which sprawls all over the atmosphere thanks to the
breeze.

As I know, Ha Nam has risen to be a popular destination in the northern region of Viet
Nam. This owes much to its diverse collection of natural landscapes, religious and
spiritual sites, local delicacies and top-notch amenities. Coming to Ha Nam, visistors are
interested in natural beauty sights like Ngu Dong Son, Phuc Long Cave, Tam Chuc
complex. Tam Chuc complex is widely known for being the largest pagoda in the world.
The complex is highlighted by the picturesque natural landscapes with emerald mountains
and azure water in the surrounding. Ha Nam also preserves many typical culture sights
such as: Long Doi Son, Ba Danh pagodas, Lanh Giang temples,… In addition to well-
known spiritual sites and nature retreats, Ha Nam is also the place for long-established
traditional craft villages. Vu Dai Craft village is the cradle of a much-loved traditional
fish – the Braised Fish, Nha Xa Craft village is famous for its special silk and Doi Tam
village inherits the well-established 1000- year legacy of making drums. Last but not
least, the locals are very friendly and helpful to support visitors. There are still so many
things that I want to talk about my hometown but time is not enough. So that’s all I would
like to tell you about Ha Nam. Thank u for listening to me
