FATHER JOE’S CORNER

“Hello Church!”
A special weekend as we honor and bless all of the fathers in our parishes, and those men
who act as a father figure in any way.

For the past several months, so much of my time as coordinator of the Priest Personnel Board has
been working in conjunction with Fr. Bryan Zielenieski, the Vicar for Renewal, and Fr. Peter
Karalus, our Vicar General, Fr. Jerry Kopac, Vicar for Clergy, Deacon Tim Chriswell, new
member of the Personnel Board, and the actual board itself. We have been meeting weekly for
incredibly long periods to try and fill all the openings and postings to complete the family
structure, As of this writing, we are almost done. It has been a daunting time, but there is light at
the end of the tunnel. I hope we don’t have to do too much personnel work over the summer,
because I really want to get going with our plan for our family. I meet with Fr. Bob and Fr. Jud in
a weeks time, and we will continue to make outlines of our plans as we move forward. Thank
you all for your patience in this time of transition.

Our four parishes are now offering communion under both species again. We are not able to
practice intinction, so if you do not wish to drink from a cup of precious blood, I would ask that
you just receive the Body of Christ.

As summer begins this week, I hope that everyone gets a chance to revive and refresh themselves
at some point along the way. We wait so long for good weather here in Western New York, I
hope that it doesn’t pass anyone by. Make the most of every day my friends. Stay well, be safe,
and as always, I’ll see you in my prayers.

God’s love and mine,

Father Joe
