MATERIALS
• 822-099 Lion Brand Alpine Wool: Vanilla
1 Ball
• Lion Brand Crochet Hook - Size I-9
• Large-Eye Blunt Needles (Set of 6)
• Additional Materials
Small amount of yarn as desired for hanging loop
Rubber gloves
GAUGE:
SNOWFLAKE
Ch 3, join with sl st in beg ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 8 sc in ring; join with sl st in top of first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 3 (beg ch counts as first dc), dc in same sc, ch 1, (2 dc in next sc, ch 1) around; join with sl st in top of beg ch -3.
Rnd 3: Sl st over to next ch -1 sp, ch 1, (sc in ch -1 sp, ch 5, sk next 2 dc) around; join with sl st in top of first sc.
Rnd 4: Sl st over to 3rd ch of ch -5 sp, ch 1, (sc in ch -5 sp, ch 7) around, join with sl st in top of first sc.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, (sc in next sc, ch 2, dc in ch -7 sp, ch 2, tr in same ch -7 sp, ch 2, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sl st into top of tr, ch 2, dc in
same ch -7 sp, ch 2) around, join with sl st in top of first sc.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
Felting
Fill sink with hot water and a small amount of liquid soap (any hand or dish soap will work). Submerge Snowflake in soapy water.
Wearing rubber gloves, hold Snowflake with one hand and rub surface of knit fabric with your other hand, working over entire surface
until the stitches begin to lose their definition. Rinse gently to remove soap residue. Allow to dry.
Tie a length of yarn to Snowflake for hanging loop.
