DIAMOND MINING

Siberia is located in an Asian country north of Kazakhstan, a city that has the world's largest
diamond mine. about 40,000 people living in this very cold city. But this is the center of the
diamond mining industry in Russia. After more than one, years of research and obtaining
permission to shoot from the world's second largest diamond producer Al - Rosa. There's a view
from the platform then go to the morning shift working underground. The diamond mine is about
3900 FT wide and the diamond pit is about 1722 FT deep but, open pit mining has been inactive
for 15 years while underground mining continues. Moscow says the most important underground
self-rescue to use in an accident involving a gas leak is a respirator providing about 50 minutes of
oxygen. When they entered the underground mining, they had to make an agreement first. there
are equipment such as elevators in the underground mines dating from the soviet era. the miners
go to the underground mine about 3 times per day. 3280 feet into the maze-like diamond mine and
the deepest in the world. in the underground pool it's about 60 to 70 degrees how hot it is in the
underground when mining underground like a large wall drilled using a machine. Because there is
a volcanic mineral kimberlite whose composition is very rare, not every kimberlite contains
valuable minerals. Serge is removing stones from the wall with a grinding machine collecting
diamonds with a truck. Diamond is the hardest mineral in the world that is almost unbreakable.
after being drilled the mining products are taken out of the ground using bunker trucks ending at
8 pm.

The next morning saw explosions underground then the first trucks drove into the heart of
the mine. How can a stone become a diamond? here shown how to produce diamonds the stones
are collected in one place then fall through the bottom machine shaft, the large stones are crushed
into minuscule proportions, a kind of x-ray machine with respect to the special concentrate to
screen the diamonds. choose a valuable diamond and then put it in a very secret mixed sulfur
chemical bath. It is used to separate kimberlite volcanic stones from diamond stones when entering
the room, there were so many diamonds that they couldn't be counted. then the diamonds are sorted
by size the weight measured per carat one carat is 0.007 ounces the weight of a diamond called
purity also affects the price according to the following 16 color categories because it uses pure
ones for example colors, diamonds that are more valuable especially dark ones can cost up to ten
dollars per carat compared to diamonds translucent.
