The origin of cats dates back to 12 million years ago, when felines began to
populate the Earth.
However, it was 4000 years ago when their domestication began. At that time, the
Egyptians decided to use them to keep rats away from their grain stores.

According to the International Feline Federation or FIFe, cat breeds are classified
into four categories which are:

Persians and Exotics.

Semi-longhair.
Shorthair.
Siamese and Orientals

Conclusion
One story says that at the time of Creation, all the animals lined up, and each
asked God for the attribute they wanted most.
The peacock wanted beauty; the gazelle, speed; the lion, courage; the dog, loyalty,
and so each made his request.
The cat, who was last in line, listened to all the requests, and in his turn, asked for
a little of each of these attributes.
For this reason the cat became one of the most perfect animals.
