MODULE 3 VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS

2022-2

In this assignment, you will have the chance to choose. You can either work individually or
in pairs, in the format of a video.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. Reading is not allowed

2. Each student will be evaluated individually (even if working in pairs)

3. Students may record the video with any tool (software/app) that works for them
like Zoom, Teams, Skype, Screen recorder, Tiktok, etc.

4. At the beginning of the video, the student/s must introduce themselves and
show a photo ID (TUDEC or ID card). This introduction will not be considered in
the total duration of the video.

5. The vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and language functions from the


contents of the Platform for each of the lessons in the course should be
included.

6. Recording must not be stopped nor edited (One-shot videos).


7. A script of your video will be requested.
8. Every student must upload both, the video and script files, to Teams in the specific
Tab.

INDIVIDUAL VIDEOS: TOPICS AND QUESTIONS


▪ What are the benefits and drawbacks of studying grad school abroad vs.
studying in Chile?

▪ What will you be doing in 10 more years? Include details about work, family, and
housing.

▪ What recommendations would you give to someone who is planning to fly


abroad?

▪ What are you looking for in a place to live?

▪ Why would you hire a personal assistant? What tasks would you have done?

▪ What is your lifestyle like? Is it healthy or unhealthy?

▪ What were your phobias and fears as a kind? What are your phobias and fears
now?

PAIR VIDEOS: TOPICS AND SITUATIONS


▪ You two are classmates. Share your opinions on the benefits of starting working
immediately after finishing your undergraduate studies vs pursuing grad school
abroad. Take parts.

▪ You are friends. Talk about “anecdotes” that you went through when traveling by
plane. Include the problems that you faced and the solutions you were given.

▪ You two are landlords of an apartment and need to rent it as soon as possible.
Talk about the positive and negative aspects of the place, how much you should
charge and what other elements are important to publish in an ad.

▪ One of you is a very famous rockstar and the other is their personal assistant. Talk
about your activities during the day, the tasks you will have done and the ones
that you will have to reschedule.

▪ One of you is feeling under the weather. Talk about how you feel and the things
you have tried so far to feel better. Your friend must give you advice and provide
examples of things you could do.

▪ You are at a wedding dinner and need to talk with the person sitting next to you
at the table. Start a small talk about the new weds and then continue with
personal interests.
