FROM HEAVEN
TO EARTH
When we talk about Israel, the Church and the end times, it is important to remember that all of
these topics are secondary to a larger issue which encompasses them all. That issue is the
kingdom of God. What is it? How does it come? What are we to do to be ready for it?

Let’s start with Yeshua’s prayer - which in some sense defines the basic parameters of the
kingdom of God. Yeshua prayed:

Matt 6:10: "Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

This prayer is so simple, yet its meaning is so vast. It is more than just a petition; it is a
declaration of profound truth. Yeshua had an amazing ability to define complex situations in
simple, foundational statements. He prayed, “Your kingdom come.” We do the same. In this
prayer we find a basic definition of the kingdom of God. This is our starting point for other
discussions about the kingdom.

Here are the elements of Yeshua’s definition:

1. God’s will done on earth

2. Already in heaven
3. Not yet on earth
4. Transferring it to earth
5. Submitting to God’s will

When an individual submits to the will of God, then God’s will is done in his life. The kingdom has
come to that person. The kingdom is "in" that person. He has received the right to live in the
kingdom of God. He has been “saved” by experiencing a personal reconciliation with God,
through the unique mediation of Yeshua.

Salvation may be seen as the personal fulfillment of the kingdom of God, at least in its first stage.
Yet the kingdom of God has other elements which are not only personal but societal, even global.
The kingdom involves a change across all the earth.

From Yeshua’s prayer, we understand that the will of God is being done in heaven, and that it is
not being done here on earth. However, that situation is changing. There is a process in which the
kingdom of God is coming here. The earth and the people in it will change and become like
heaven.

As followers of Yeshua we serve that process of change. We have a vision for global
transformation. Yeshua is the king of that kingdom, and we serve Him and the purposes of that
kingdom.

04
HOW DOES
IT HAPPEN?
One of our first aspects of serving Yeshua is just what is written above: we pray for God’s
kingdom to come. Our praying for the coming of the kingdom actually helps bring that kingdom.
Such prayer is not just some exercise to help get our minds aligned with biblical truth. Thank Our
prayers activate the process of the coming of the kingdom.

Of course, serving the Lord is not only in prayer; it includes acts of sacrificial love, generosity,
integrity, evangelism, discipleship, good works and building congregations of faith.

Yeshua said that the kingdom of God is like a plant that grows in different stages, from small to
big, inward to outward, hidden to seen (Matthew 13; Mark 4). Each stage differs from the
previous one but is a continuation thereof.

The kingdom of God is both heavenly and earthly. “… Done on earth as it is in heaven…” It
involves both the heavenly and earthly dimensions living and operating in harmony. We should
see both dimensions, and avoid the trap of focusing too much on one side or the other.

If one sees only the heavenly, one’s view becomes overly spiritual, even “mystical.” If one sees
only the earthly, one's view tends to focus only on the social realm, becoming overly “political.” As
God created both the heavens and the earth, the kingdom has both dimensions; from the
spiritual/mystical to the social/political. It is all inclusive.

A kingdom is a government; it is a king's realm of authority. Yeshua is the king, the Messiah, the
ruler of the government of God’s kingdom.

Yeshua is the divine king. He volunteered to sacrifice Himself in love to save us. We must see
Him as both savior and king. He was born to be the king (John 18:38), and His kingdom is
coming. Yeshua’s worldwide government of love and righteousness will one day fill the earth.

05
WHO IS
IN IT?
The next question is: who will be in that kingdom and how does one receive the right to be part of
it?

Matthew 5:5 – Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Here in the “Sermon on the Mount,” Yeshua is quoting from Psalm 37. In that Psalm, there are
some eight references emphasizing the same idea. The meek will indeed inherit the earth in the
near future. The question is not whether the meek will inherit the earth, but who are the meek
and how does one become part of that “meek” group who will inherit it?

The problem of course is that we have all sinned; both individually and corporately as a human
race. As individuals, we need to repent of our own sinful actions. And as members of the human
race, we all need to be set free from our inherited sinful nature.

In other words, we need to be transformed from being sinners to becoming that righteous and
meek group who will merit entering the kingdom, and ultimately inherit the earth. If the world to
come is where the will of God will be done in its fullness, then obviously only those who are
presently willing to submit to the will of God can be there.

The meek and the righteous do not control the world now. But that will change. The non-meek
and the unrighteous control the world now, but not forever. Ultimately, godly people will inherit
the earth.

If a righteous person dies now, his body will go to the grave, but his spirit will rise to heaven.
Eventually the meek will return, at the resurrection, to regain control of planet earth and human
society. It is not the eternal destiny of the righteous to stay only in heaven without a body.

We do not leave the earth behind to hard-hearted people forever. At Judgment Day, the hard-
hearted will be removed and punished (Matthew 13:37-43). It is not that the meek are removed
and the wicked inherit. Quite the opposite: the wicked are removed and the righteous inherit.

How do I make sure I am in the group of the meek and not the wicked? I must repent of my sins
and be reborn from my sinful nature. The issue is not just sins (in general), but sin (original sin in
our very nature). Yeshua said to a righteous rabbi, Nikodemos, who was already obeying the
Torah, that he had to be “born again, born from above, born of the spirit” (John 3).

Repentance deals with our actions (including thoughts and speech); the new birth deals with our
character. We can repent of our sinful actions by decision. It is within the ability of our will power
to make those changes, and to recognize the need for a much deeper change.

06
However, only faith in the crucifixion and resurrection of Yeshua can purge us of our
sinfulness.Repentance changes what you do; the grace of God from the crucifixion and
resurrection changes who you are.

[The Greek word for “repentance” is meta-noia. That is a change of mind or thought. It is a
change in the soul of man. Meta means change. Noia means mind. The Greek words for “born
again” are gennao anothen, for “regeneration” is paliggenesia, for “born of the spirit” are
gennao ex pneuma. Notice that in all three is the root “gene” like genesis, generation, gene.]

Repentance deals with a change primarily in our soul. Regeneration deals primarily with a change
in our spirit, although obviously soul and spirit are involved in both of these changes.

Titus 3:5

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy He saved
us, by the washing of regeneration, and the renewal of the Holy Spirit.

[The word for “renewal” in Greek is ana-kainosis, as also stated in Romans 12:2 on the renewing
of our mind. So there is a regeneration as a one-time rebirth; and then there is a continuing
renewal to make us ready to be citizens of the Kingdom of heaven.]

That is how we become one of the meek and righteous who will be able to inherit the earth. It
comes through repentance from wrong deeds, immersion in water as a total dedication to
following Yeshua, and receiving the spirit of holiness (Acts 2:38, Romans 6).

That is the message of the gospel. It involves total inner transformation. It is a circumcision of the
heart. This process of transformation was part of the plan of God from before creation.

Ephesians 1:4-5; 10

God chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and
without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus
Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

…[that] in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all
things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.

God chose us in Yeshua before the foundation of the world; He predestined us as sons, because
that is what He wanted to do. In the fullness of times all things in both heaven and earth will be
united in Yeshua.

07
HIS PLAN –
MORAL CHOICE
God has a plan; things are not just randomly happening in the world. This plan involves a moral
test for all of us. God has set before us both good and evil. We must choose (Deuteronomy
30:15, 19). According to Yeshua’s parable in Matthew 13, there are both wheat and weeds in the
world. We must choose which group we will be in.

God had the whole world planned before He began creation. Engineers and architects have every
detail of a blueprint written before they give permission to the building contractor to start building.
By the time the first shovel goes into the ground, half of the work is already done.

Part of the plan is for human beings to choose between good and evil. Therefore, the world must
contain both good and evil. We don't get to choose but we have to choose. We are in the middle
of a moral test that is not an option, but an obligation. Any course of education necessarily
involves tests along the way. That is part of the process of instruction. We must learn to choose
correctly during the temporary world so we will be convinced and established in the good before
the start of the eternal world.

That’s why not everything around us seems to be the way God wants it. In fact, most of the things
that happen in this world are not according to God’s will. God allows bad to happen so we can
learn from it; so that we can make better choices. We are to let the realization of what evil is, sink
in now, so that we won’t ever want to have any part of it in the future.

08
TIMELINE
OF SEVENS
God has a plan. He planned it in advance with a timeline. Just as there is a schedule in building a
building, so is there a time schedule for God’s kingdom.

This time schedule is based on a pattern of seven. There are seven days of creation, a seven day
week, seventh year sabbatical; and I even see seven thousand years of human history with the
seventh millennium being the Messianic kingdom on earth. The millennial kingdom is the
sabbatical millennium.

In general, God is sovereign over the history of mankind, including the timeline of nations and
their governments.

Acts 17:26

And God has made of one blood all the nations of men to dwell upon all the face of the
earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times, and the boundaries of their dwelling
places.

God’s plan is designed ahead of time; its times and seasons are sometimes even displayed in the
heavens. God’s plan is ultimately worked out through human history. (Gen 1:14; Matt 24:29-30)
(Predesigned or predestined in Greek is proorizo; set times is kairos; before the foundation of
the world is pro katabole kosmos.)

The point is to be assured by Scriptures that there is a clear orderly plan that includes creation,
history, geography; and that the plan was already in the mind of God from beginning to end,
before He put the process into motion.

It takes faith to see that God has everything planned out. Why? Because when we look around,
we see both good and bad. Most things that happen are against His will. So how could there be
bad if God has planned it?

Evil is the result of bad choices from bad people and fallen angels. But the time is coming when
the bad angels and bad people will be taken away. The evil must be removed if there is to be a
perfect world. Then everything will be put right. It takes a lot of faith and hope to believe that.

09
TESTING TIME
FOR OUR CHOICES
In order to make the right decisions, we have to trust God. We have to choose every moment to
be on the good side and not evil, in light and not darkness, in life instead of death, Yeshua instead
of Satan. Learning to make the right choices and making them, is the purpose of this lifetime.

We must be ready, because ultimately there will be a judgment day when good and evil will be
separated; the righteous will be rewarded and the wicked punished. Part of the righteous' reward
is to inherit this world. The wicked will be removed and punished in a horribly painful manner.

So, we need to repent - urgently. We must stop doing evil, turn to Yeshua, and make sure our
heart is changed. We want to receive the spirit of holiness, righteousness, love, and wisdom, so
we can live life in the light and not go to the place of the wicked, with darkness and torment.

What you are walking in now is what you will receive for eternity. If you are walking in the light
now, you will receive light for eternity; if you are walking in darkness, you will receive darkness for
eternity. Both right now and in every moment, no matter wherever we are and whoever we are,
we must make the right choices. If we have already chosen Yeshua, we know that we all still
make mistakes, and we need to repent, change and commit ourselves afresh every day.

Whether you have been considering these issues for a long time; or for the first time, let me
encourage you: there is perfect justice. Good will be rewarded and evil will be punished. You are
in a test period right now. The way to make this change from evil to good is by a quality decision.

It involves praying out to God along these lines: “Lord, I repent of everything I have done
wrong. I turn to You. I receive Your love. I believe that Yeshua died for me and rose from
the dead. I receive Your spirit of righteousness and holiness in order to walk in Your
kingdom now, in this lifetime, before the judgment day comes.” Amen.

In summary, the kingdom of God is when the will of God is done on earth as it is in heaven.
Everything is planned and designed by God. We are in a testing period in order to choose what is
right. We are coming to a time soon when evil will be removed and good will remain.

10
BACK TO
THE GARDEN
How could we describe “the will of God done on earth as it is in heaven?” In modern terms, I
would say that it is: “Perfect people living in a perfect world.” Or to be more exact, it is:
“Perfected people living in a perfected world.”

The world is not perfect, neither are people. God is in a process of changing us so that the world
will also be changed. He is perfecting the world by perfecting the people in it. Ultimately, His goal
is a perfect world with perfect people in it.

In that world we will all love God, love one another, and live together in a perfect
environment. That’s why, in the beginning when God created Adam and Eve, He put them in the
Garden of Eden. We ruined it by sin. But in the end, the Garden of Eden will be restored.

11
A KINGDOM WITH
A PERFECT KING
In the beginning there was just one couple, Adam and Eve; and they lived in a garden. But the
plan was not for just one couple. God told Adam and Eve to multiply, so that there would be
millions and billions of people. The garden will have to be greatly expanded. With so many
people, a form of social structure and government will be needed.

This perfect society with perfected people will be led by a perfect ruler. The biblical word for the
leader of the government is “king.” Who could possibly be king of a perfect world? What person
could fill that position?

Well, whoever your favorite politician is, let me tell you, he is not good enough. Whether he is
right wing or left wing, democrat or republican, capitalist or communist, he or she is not good
enough. Neither is your favorite religious leader or movie star. Maybe you think you might be
good enough--but of course, you are not, and none of us are!

There is only one person who has ever been totally righteous. That person is Yeshua (Jesus), son
of David, son of God. Because He is totally righteous, He could be our savior. By the same
qualification, He proved that He had the righteousness to be the leader of the government in the
world to come.

When Yeshua died on the cross, He volunteered to give His life in sacrificial love, in order to
provide for you and me the price of atonement - an exchange for the punishment we deserved.
On that basis, we have judicial standing to be forgiven of our sins.

Yet there was another purpose behind the crucifixion. It was a test for Yeshua Himself personally.
It was a test of integrity, faithfulness and obedience. He passed the test. He came out of the test
as the only perfectly righteous person who ever lived. Because of the obedience Yeshua
demonstrated by His death on the cross, everyone will know that He is the one Who can be
trusted to be the head of the government, the king, the ruler in the world to come for eternity. It
was a test to prove His own monarchy, nobility, integrity, and trustworthiness.

When Yeshua was on the cross, He said “Father, forgive them” in order to save us from the
punishment for our sin (Luke 23:34). At the same time on the cross, there was a message written
above His head in three languages: “This is Yeshua of Nazareth, the king of the Jews (John
19:19-20).”

Two different divine works and kingdom of God purposes were being put into effect at the same
time: Savior and King. He was sacrificing Himself for your and my salvation, but He was also
proving Himself worthy to be the king.

Because He was willing to give up all authority in obedience to the Father, He is worthy of
receiving all authority.

12
Because He was willing to give up all power, He is worthy of receiving all power.

Because He was willing to give up all honor and glory, He is worthy of receiving all glory and
honor.

The world has seen a lot of politicians; some good and some bad, relatively speaking. But thank
God, none of those politicians are going to be king for eternity. None of them are going to have all
power. I am happy that it will only be Yeshua, who will be the head of the government for eternity
in the world to come.

Yeshua said in Matthew 12:42, “I am like Solomon, but more than Solomon was.” Solomon was
the wisest man who ever lived. He was the son of King David. He was head of the government
that was closer to the kingdom of God than any other generation on earth. He had everything.
But, he sinned horribly at the end of his days.

Theoretically, Solomon might have been one of the possible candidates to be the Messianic king.
But he was disqualified like any other earthly, historical ruler. Only Yeshua can be the Messiah.
Interestingly enough, Yeshua is one of Solomon’s great, great grandsons. As promised to his
father David, one of Solomon’s descendants did indeed rise up to sit on his “forever” throne as the
perfect king, the divine Messiah.

13
KINGDOM WITH
A CAPITAL
The kingdom of God has a king—His name is Yeshua. This kingdom also has a capital - it is
Jerusalem.Yes, the kingdom of God will be here on earth, and I don’t mean to be offensive, but
the capital city is not going to be Rome, Seoul, Beijing, or Washington D.C. It will be Jerusalem,
Israel - “the city of the great king” – Psalm 48:2. God’s kingdom will have a king and a capital
city.

Psalm 2 describes how the people of this world become furious about two things: about the king,
and about the king’s city. The world is angry and rebellious against the authority of the kingdom of
God - about the King and about the kingdom's capital.

We live here in Jerusalem. Almost every Israeli, both secular and religious, believes that
Jerusalem is the eternal capital of our nation. But very few believe that the divine king is Yeshua.
There are many Christians around the world who believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, the savior,
but few believe that Jerusalem is the capital of His kingdom.

Psalm 2:6 states, “I have set My king on My holy hill Zion.” God says in effect, “This is My
choice. It is not by popular vote. I have chosen My king - Yeshua; and I have chosen My hill, that
is My capital, My center of government, which is Zion-Jerusalem (Yerushalayim, ‫)ירושלים‬.

My wife and I live in an apartment adjacent to the government district in Jerusalem. We chose this
location intentionally and we go on prayer walks early every morning, walking around the
Knesset, the Supreme Court and the Prime Minister’s office, praying in the spirit for the
righteousness of the kingdom of God to come (Matthew 6:33). [Please join with us in agreement!]

As we discussed earlier, there are questions as to whether the kingdom of God is heavenly or
earthly. But Ephesians 1:10 states very clearly: it is BOTH. The word “BOTH” solves the
theological problem. (In fact, it solves many theological problems.) The kingdom is not just
heaven and not just earth, it is both. God brings together ALL THINGS, BOTH IN HEAVEN AND
EARTH in Yeshua.

People have had misunderstandings on both sides of this issue. We believe in the perfect
balance, the total kingdom in all its dimensions. God created both the heavens and the earth. And
in the end He will bring all things into one, into perfection, in Yeshua, both in heaven and on earth.
The heavenly Jerusalem will be united with the earthly one. So, we want both the heavenly and
the earthly dimensions. Or more precisely, we want the things of heaven to take over the things of
this earth. The kingdom of God is the harmony and unification of heaven and earth.

14
VISION FOR
WORLD PEACE
Isaiah 2:2-4 is a prophetic “snapshot” of the kingdom of God on earth. This is a foundational
vision of the messianic kingdom, extending from Jerusalem to all the nations of the earth.

"It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of YHVH will be
established as the head of the mountains and will be lifted up above the hills. All the
nations will flow to it. And many people will come and say, ‘Come let us go up to the
mountain of YHVH, to the house of the God of Jacob. And He will teach us of His ways,
and we will walk in His paths.’ For from Zion will go forth the Torah and the word of YHVH
from Jerusalem. And He will judge between the nations and rebuke many peoples; and
they will beat their swords into shovels and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will
not lift up sword against nation; neither will they learn war anymore."

What a beautiful prophecy! Actually, Micah repeats this same prophecy word for word, and then
he adds one more dimension to it by adding an additional verse. Micah 4:4: "Every man will sit
under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one will make them afraid."

These passages in Isaiah and Micah contain a vision for world peace. Part of this quote is written
on the entrance to the United Nations building in New York City. The part that is quoted is of war
becoming no more. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the parts about Jerusalem and God were
not mentioned.

(Of course, there cannot be world peace without a change of heart, and that is the work of the
gospel. Yeshua is the “Prince of Peace” Sar Shalom, ‫ – שר שלום‬Isaiah 9:6).

Part of our prophetic view of the kingdom of God is indeed a vision of world peace. Isaiah 2 is the
original vision for world peace. This vision of world peace started before all others. The vision of
world peace did not come from a rock star, a guru, or a politician. It started with the prophet
Isaiah.

15
PEACE: NATIONS
TOWARDS ISRAEL
This original vision of world peace is not only between the nations; it is between the nations and
Israel. World peace is a dynamic relationship between Israel and the nations. Israel is a kind of
center point on earth which the other nations connect to, like the hub and spokes of a wheel.
Without connection to the God of Israel, there can be no world peace. Therefore, true peace also
will involve a connection to the nation of Israel.

Israel is a tool in the hands of God to connect the nations to the vision of world peace. As
marriage is a covenantal relationship between a man and a woman, we see world peace as a
covenantal relationship between Israel and the nations.

Because world society is primarily against God right now, the prevailing attitude in diplomatic
circles and news media is that Israel is the main hindrance to peace. Today Jerusalem is the
center of world conflict and controversy (which was also prophesied ahead of time: Zechariah
12:1-3). In many ways, current political events reflect the opposite of God’s hope for peace
among the nations.

The gospel of the kingdom includes this vision for peace on earth. The angels sang at the birth of
the Messiah – “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, and good will toward men”
– Luke 2:14. We have something in common with everyone who has a hope for world peace. But
we also see the necessary spiritual and historical elements that are needed to bring it to pass.

16
GLOBAL WAR
AND JUDGMENT
The Bible states that world peace will come immediately after a great world war. The millennial
kingdom of peace comes right after the apocalyptic war of Armageddon. All the nations will attack
Israel. Those armies will be destroyed. Their weapons will be converted to peaceful use. (Isaiah
13; 29; 37; Ezekiel 38; 39; Zechariah 12; 14; Matthew 24; Revelation 19.)

I wish that we could “skip over” the global war. But it is unavoidable. Global war precedes the global
peace. Every prophecy of Scripture describes the same thing. At the global war against Jerusalem,
the Messiah (Yeshua) intervenes with the armies of heaven, and then sets up His kingdom of
peace on the earth.

Simply put, the order is:

1. Armageddon
2. Second Coming
3. Millennial Kingdom.

When we see all the controversy and anger concerning Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in
international diplomacy and media, we understand that the time of the great final war is getting
close. The world is moving quickly toward a united international attack on Jerusalem. When that
happens, Yeshua, as the king of Israel and commander-in-chief of the armies of heaven, will
intervene to save His city.

Then the Messiah will set up His kingdom of world peace from His capital city, Jerusalem. The
vision for world peace is the coming of the kingdom of God with Yeshua ruling from Jerusalem.
The great war that immediately precedes the coming of the Messiah in glory is also a moment of
judgment. It is judgment day. It is the great and terrible day of YHVH. One of the ways in which God
judges the nations is by their response to Jerusalem. Just as each person is judged eternally by his
personal response to Yeshua, so the nations are judged in this war by their response to Jerusalem.

The kingdom of peace must logically come right after the judgment against violence, hatred, and
war. That hatred culminates in the united attack against Jerusalem. That is the moment of judgment.
World peace comes directly after the judgment against world hatred. The instruments of war are
destroyed and converted to instruments of farming and energy.

This final war is God’s way of judging the nations. We want to pray for every nation to be involved
in the war against Israel as little as possible. In every nation of the world, there are people that hate
God, want to attack God and rebel against His authority. And in every nation, there are also people
who love God and are submitted to His plan.

Even though most people will not be aware of it, the Bible describes the war against Jerusalem as
an attack against Yeshua Himself (Zechariah 12:9; 14:3-4; Revelation 17:14; 19:19).

So, in the Gentile nations in the end times, there will be two groups of people. One will hate Jesus
and Jerusalem; and the other will love Jesus and Jerusalem. The great apocalyptic war will make
clear the difference between the two. 17
FINANCIAL
PROSPERITY
It is beautiful that Micah 4:4 said that every man will sit under his vine and fig tree. Here in the
Middle East, we have a lot of vines and fig trees. That description is both agricultural and poetic. It
is also symbolic of financial prosperity. Yes, peace and prosperity will be part of the Messiah’s
government.

So many of the problems in the world today are a result of financial corruption. Financial
corruption leads to oppression and poverty. Financial integrity is a basic moral principle in the
kingdom of God. As God will remove war and violence, He will also remove financial corruption
and poverty. There will be a beautiful world of righteous government, world peace and economic
prosperity.

The kingdom of God is a perfect world with perfect people. This present time allows us to get
ready for that world to come. We get ready for it by studying the scriptures, obeying Yeshua and
letting the Holy Spirit change us on the inside. We change every day as we get ready. The
kingdom of God is at hand.

18
TRUMPET
JUDGMENTS
AND THE LAST
REVELATION
Let’s look now at Revelation 11:15. There are a series of trumpets (shofars) in the end times. It is
biblically logical to see the connection between the seven trumpets of Revelation, the seven years
of end-times’ tribulation and seven Feasts of Trumpets, one per year.

The trumpets will be blown on earth and in heaven. Huge cataclysmic events are released. These
trumpet judgments bring worldwide disasters. Those disasters are a gracious warning from God
because the time of eternal judgment is at hand. God loves us so much that He will do anything,
no matter how severe, to deter us from that eternal punishment.

Imagine if you saw a friend who was drunk and getting into a car to drive. You would do anything
to stop him, no matter how painful. The worldwide disasters of the end times are God’s way of
taking severe measures to turn us away from evil.

Environmental problems in the world are the result of 6,000 years of human sin. We have
destroyed nature. Our evil actions and attitudes have tormented this beautiful, spiritually sensitive
creation.

(Revelation 11:18 states that God will destroy those who destroy His creation. This is a Hebraic
reference to the word “corrupt”, Shikhet, ‫ שיחת‬found in the story of Noah – Genesis 6:11, 6:12,
6:13, 6:17, 9:11, 9:15).

At each of the end times' shofars, there is a disaster, a judgment, and a prophetic revelation as to
its meaning. The seventh trumpet contains the last part of the kingdom mystery (Revelation 10:7)
and is the culmination of the previous judgments. The shofar represents God speaking to us
(Revelation 1:10). It is God’s message that is important, not the shofar blast itself.

Revelation 11:15: "Then the seventh angel sounded. And there were voices in heaven
saying, 'The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdom of our Lord and of His
Christ. And He shall rule forever and ever'.”

[Note: Actually, in Hebrew there are two words for “trumpet.” One is shofar, ‫ שופר‬for a ram’s horn.
The other is khatsotsrah, ‫ חצוצרה‬for a metal trumpet. Both would be applicable in prophetic
symbolism.]

The seventh trumpet of Revelation proclaims the last prophetic mystery; the last prophetic
revelation; and it is describing the governments of this world being taken over by the heavenly
kingdom of God. Every prophecy is leading toward the revelation that the governments of this
world will be taken over by the kingdom of Messiah.

19
The corrupt governments of this world will be taken over by the righteous government of the
Messiah. Education and agriculture, even businesses, court systems, parliaments, banks, and
social media, will all be conformed to God’s will from heaven. The coming of the kingdom of God
requires a change in government.

Psalm 145:13 states that God’s kingdom is forever and that governments are from generation to
generation. Ultimately God’s eternal kingdom will take over the human governments. There will be
a perfect world society.

Pilate asked Yeshua if He was a king. Yeshua answered that He was not a king in the political
sense and that He was not leading a rebellion. But He did say He was indeed a king, and that His
kingdom would one day come to this world from heaven (John 18:33-37). There is a better world
coming, a better society, a better kingdom.

The kingdom of God is much more than just a change of government or a change in the social
systems of this world. It is primarily a change in heart and spirit. Yet the kingdom of God does
involve a revolutionary change of governmental regime as well.

In this spirit of victory, Yeshua as King Messiah--the Lion of the tribe of Judah--the commander-in-
chief of the angelic armies, returns as a conqueror. Yeshua came as a suffering servant the first
time; the second time He comes as a conquering king.

In Jewish thought, there are two groups of prophecies about the Messiah throughout scripture:
"son of Joseph" and "son of David"; suffering servant and conquering king. On this basis, Judaism
believes in multiple messiahs.

We know the truth: not two messiahs, but two comings of the same messiah. Many of our people
missed Yeshua’s role as Messiah the suffering servant because they were looking for the
conquering king. Some people will misunderstand the Second Coming if they are not looking for a
conquering king.

These two roles are also found in the meaning of the name Yeshua. Yeshua means “YHVH
saves”. Yeshua came to save us of our sins. However, salvation also refers to saving His people
in battle through military intervention.

Yeshua is a short version of the name Joshua (Yehoshua; ‫)יהושע‬. Joshua was one of the
greatest military commanders who ever lived. He conquered the Promised Land. Yeshua also
returns to conquer in the image of Joshua; not just taking the land of Canaan, but repossessing
the entire planet earth.

Isaiah 33:22 states: "YHVH our judge; YHVH our lawmaker; YHVH our king; He will save
us." The One Who is king, lawmaker and judge will become our savior. And our savior will
become our king, lawmaker, and judge. The executive, legislative and judicial branches of
government will be in His hands. Isaiah 9:5 – The government will be on His shoulders.

There will be a world of perfect peace and prosperity, with Yeshua as the head of the
government.

CREATION RESTORED
TO PERFECTION
After the Millennial kingdom, comes the New Creation, which is the total restoration of paradise.

Revelation 21:1-2:
"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth have
passed away. And there was no more sea. And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem,
coming down out of heaven, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband."

The last two chapters of Revelation describe a restoration of the first two chapters of Genesis.
The culmination and “happy ending” of the whole Bible is the unification of heavenly and earthly
Jerusalem. This fulfills what Yeshua taught us to pray: "Your will be done on earth as it is in
heaven.”

Revelation 22:2
In the middle of its street and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore
twelve fruits, bearing fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of
the nations.

The unification of heavenly and earthly Jerusalem goes together with the restoration of
paradise. The trees and rivers of Eden are located in the very center of the streets of Jerusalem.
(Compare the Revelation 22 vision of the trees and the river coming out of the center of
Jerusalem with the similar vision in Ezekiel chapter 47.) The center of the city and the center of
the garden are in the same place. All is restored.

The perfect world to come is an expansion and restoration of the Garden of Eden. At the center of
paradise is the capital city. Jerusalem and Eden become one. All good things are united in
harmony.

During this lifetime, we are in a process of restoration. The restoration is seen in the history of
both Israel and the Church. The parallel historical development can be called, “the dual
restoration of Israel and the Church.” The dual restoration of Israel and the Church in the End
Times prepares the way for the full manifestation of the kingdom of God.

This is more than Ecclesiology; more than Eschatology; more than Zionism. The dual restoration
is the process of giving birth to the kingdom of God on earth. This was the hope of the Israelite
prophets and the vision of the New Covenant Apostles. This is your faith and our faith together.
We preach the kingdom of God. It is near. Everyone needs to repent. A perfect world with perfect
people is close at hand. Let’s get ready. Let your heart be changed so that you can be part of that
perfect world. The kingdom of God is the will of God being done on earth as it is in heaven.
