Mishima has seen a positive change in the 3rd Edition, moving away from being solely Japan focused.
It opened up posibilities to add more flavor to the corporation, with new careers based upon the many
cultures of Asia. That's why I allowed myself to jump from place to place when writing new material
for Mishima, as there is so much more to it now than sword wielding samurai. They too however
received new careers, as there is still lots of things to be written about them.

Duskdealer Spear
This massive weapon is a development of the traditional Naginata polearm used in some Mishiman
monasteries. The enlarged version is able to cleave even the greatest Dark Legion beast in two. The
weapon however is too large to be used by an unarmored man.

Nagamaki
The Nagamaki is a weapon as old as the Katana, and as honorable and august. Originally a tool
against mounted Samurai, it has become a powerful weapon against heavily armored enemies and
beasts of the Dark Legion. The hilt of the Nagamaki is as long as the blade and made in the same style
as the hilt of a Katana. With a static grip on the hilt, the weapon forces its user to commit himself fully
to an aggressive way of fighting.
Damage – 1 + 5d6
Encumbrance – 4
Size – 2H
Reliability - 4
Qualities – Parry 1, Vicious 2
Restriction - 3
Cost – 7
Naginata
A sharp sword blade attached to a long and sturdy staff, the naginata has been a revered weapon even
before the fall. Used by the Sohei, warrior monks, as a symbol and weapon, it still offers many
benefits for keeping the enemy at bay.
Damage – 2 + 5d6
Encumbrance - 5
Size – 2H
Reliability - 4
Qualities – Armor Piercing 2, Reach
Restriction - 3
Cost – 8
Tetsubo
A personal favorite of many powersuit users. As tall as a grown man, this huge metal club can pound
enemies into a pulp with one hit, and those tough enough to survive often find themselves reeling
from the sheer impact of the weapon's mass.
Damage – 2 + 5d6
Encumbrance - 6
Size – 2H
Reliability - 4
Qualities – Stun, Vicious 1
Restriction - 3
Cost – 8
Shikomizue
Mishiman blades are worn openly by the Samurai, but not always is such behaviour appropriate and
not everyone who needs a blade is a Samurai. For such people a specific type of mounting has been
developed. The Shikomizue is a special mounting for the blade, hiding it in a a cane or staff depending
on the blade. Such weapons can be carried openly without arousing too much suspicion.
There is also an industry producing blades specifically to be mounted in a Shikomizue, these do not
differ much from the rapier canes used by other corporations.
