Overcoming Adversity: The Strength of the Filipino

People in the Face of Difficulties

Although the Philippines is rich in culture, tradition, and history, that does not mean
that Filipinos have never had to face the difficulties that our society currently faces. Our
country and society have experienced a number of problems in recent years that have
had a significant impact on us. The society in the Philippines has to deal with a variety
of things, from natural calamities to political controversies.

The Covid-19 pandemic, which lasted for almost two years, is one key incident that
rocked the nation. Millions of Filipinos had their lives, emotions, feelings, thoughts,
conduct, and means of subsistence changed by this topic or events. We are unable to
leave the house and are required to wear protective clothing, including facemasks, face
shields, and more.

Of course, the nation also went through political controversies, including one
involving a well-known TV network or channel. The 2020 ABS-CBN shutdown caused a
lot of issues for all of its staff, as well as the actors and artists. Over 4,000 workers lost
their jobs as a result of this tragedy, which gained notoriety.

The Taal Volcano eruption in January 2020 was the third. In addition to forcing
thousands of residents to leave their homes, the accident also damaged the
neighborhood. Several properties suffered damage. This resulted in the deaths of
numerous people as well.
 The Pink Ribbon Campaign is another occasion. Symbol of breast cancer awareness
around the world. This raises awareness of breast cancer and encouages women to
have regular checkups. We are all aware that routine checkups can assist both avoid
illness and help treat existing illnesses more effectively.

The final activity for today's narrative essay is an LGBTQ+ pride celebration, also
known as pride month, which often highlights the community and brings attention to its
rights and struggles. They will become stronger as a result of all their hardships,
sacrifices, and discrimination and continue to forge positive connections within our
society. Our world is balanced by LGBTQ+.

Despite these difficulties, the people of the Philippines have persevered and
displayed strength in the face of adversity. In the aforementioned incidents, Filipinos
demonstrate the genuineness of their relationships with one another, supporting one
another while overcoming difficulties and grief. In conclusion, we must keep striving for
a better Philippine society as we look to the future. To be able to solve the issue and
create a better, more creative, and new society as we faced in this year, 2023, it is
better to be aware that these occurrences occur in our society and that we have all this
awareness.
