Greetings of peace and prosperity!

Sir, I’ve been through many experiences and sacrifices in seeking a job as a Junior High School Science
teacher applicant for almost five years. Yet, I’m still here patiently waiting to be absorbed in the DepEd
Surigao del Norte Division.

I started to rank last 2019 here in Malimono district but I did not meet the cut-off score. To increase my
points, I volunteered at Bunyasan National High School to get points for teaching experience.

I tried my luck for the second time last 2020, at the height of the pandemic and luckily, I was enlisted at
Registry of Qualified Applicants (RQA). While waiting for the item, I accepted to be a substitute teacher at
Pili National High School from September 13, 2021, to December 1, 2021. I have so many co-applicants
who have absorbed that year, but I am still the unlucky one.

Until the application period again, because the system and guidelines of the ranking for teachers were
changed, those old applicants who previously entered the RQA had to go through the application process
again with the new applicants. Unfortunately, I was dropped last 2021 for the third time. I got tired,
weakened, and lost hope, but fought again.

I re-applied for the fourth time last 2022 and by God's mercy, I am back to RQA. While waiting to be given
an item, I accepted to be a substitute teacher at Bunyasan National High School last January 23, 2023, to
April 23, 2023. There were many new entrants to RQA who were blessed to be given an item that time
while I still haven't.

Now I am back to being a volunteer teacher at Bunyasan National High School. Currently, I am preparing
for the re-application for the fifth time. And I am afraid that I might fail again from the RQA because the
process and guidelines have also changed into more difficult to achieve due to its higher qualification and
standard.

In connection to this, I am writing a letter of request, seeking for a vacant position. I am hoping and
praying from this day onwards that this request will be granted and be allowed soon to be working with
you all and be part of the DepEd family in your division. I believed that my four-year experience as
volunteer teacher and second time being a substitute teacher developed my full potentials and optimum
capacities in the field of teaching.
