There are two levels of assessment for typologies of nursing problems in family nursing practice. The first level identifies whether a family exhibits wellness conditions, health deficits, health threats, or stress points. The second level identifies the specific nursing problems a family experiences in managing a health condition, such as difficulties performing health tasks related to diabetes, hypertension, or pregnancy. Understanding these typologies is important for nurses to properly identify and address the nature of problems experienced by families.
