Introduction
The ​Functional Training 1 aims to provide a good ​understanding of how Openbravo Business Suite
version 3 is used and what functionality it supports​.
Through theory, hands-on exercises and quizzes the student will learn and simulate all core Openbravo
Business Suite business workflows​.

Note​: This course does not cover the technical knowledge required to perform a basic Openbravo Business
Suite implementation which is covered by our​ ​Technical Training​ ​courses​.

Online Elearning Format


In comparison to the classroom format, the online version delivers the same content in a ​self-study
manner and over a longer period of time of ​4-weeks​. The online format of this training is an alternative
designed for participants with ​financial and/or resource constraints​. To make up for the classroom
interactivity, the online e-learning platform comes with the following collaboration elements:
● News blog​ where announcements concerning the course are posted
● Materials​ for each module
● Links to ​additional readings
● Discussions​ and ​Q&A​ forums monitored and answered by Openbravo Training Specialists
● Quizzes
● Exercises​ and ​assignments
● IRC live chats​ for a more interactive help and guidance
● Instructions for each participant’s ​own instance of the Openbravo Business Suite that will be used
to experience the application and perform the exercises listed

This course requires roughly ​40 hours of student self-study which he or she may invest as they see fit
across the ​4-week availability

IRC chat room​ where an Openbravo Instructor is present to resolve any questions, issues or
doubts that may arise during the course.
* This is an experimental feature where instructor’s presence in the chatroom depends on the availability.

Forum support by an Openbravo Training Specialist​ is provided during ​working hours​ in


Spain, i.e. Monday to Thursday 9AM to 6PM, CET, and Friday 9AM to 3PM, CET. We will
respond within one working day from the moment a forum post or inquiry is submitted. Please
note that we do our best to provide responses within a few hours (as well as on weekends),
though not obliged to do so.

This course is based on a ​self-study model​ with an estimated 40h student dedication
required. During the entire course length the student can choose his or her own pace to
follow and go through the chapters to complete the course. Depending on the student's effort
the course can be completed in any time between one and three weeks.

The elearning platform with all its elements such as ​study materials, On Demand virtual
instance, forums​ and ​assignments​ is available for the full length of the course, 24/7.
Classroom Format
Classroom format of the training is aimed at those in need to learn Openbravo Business Suite functionality
in the ​shortest and most efficient manner possible​. When given as such and delivered by an Openbravo
Training Specialist, the Basic Functional Training is a ​5-day course​ with the following tentative schedule:

Requirements

Knowledge prerequisites
● Experience in ERPs, business processes or enterprise software is strongly recommended​.

Computer Requirements
● A compatible web browser. Due to the fact that Openbravo 3 is a ​rich-internet-application​, the
newest browsers with optimized Javascript engines are recommended for the best user experience:
