    Note: Detection of COVID-19 after total RNA extraction of the samples was performed by one-step
    multiplex TaqMan probe-based real-time RT-PCR assay (Applied Biosystems 7500 Real-Time PCR
    Instrument) using specific primers and probes for the N and RdRp genes. This assay also includes
    an endogenous (Human RNaseP) internal control detection system for reducing the false negative
    results. A negative result means that COVID-19 RNA was not present above the limit of detection.
