REFLECTION
As a graduating student, I learned a lot in our work immersion. This is the stage
where us – students – can apply what we have learned during class hour. It is really
beneficial to the students because it will help them enhance their skills and to enlighten their
minds for the things that they are lacked of.
This also helped me to practice and develop myself in communicating and engaging
with the people in the community. I also learned that working hours is really important
because it is considered as you record in order to accomplish the working day or hours that
has given to each student.
The positive learning gains suggest that work immersion enables us to acquire and
develop the skills of teamwork, communication, attendance and punctuality, productivity and
resilience, initiative and proactivity, judgment and decision-making, dependability and
reliability, attitude, and professionalism.
Work Immersion aims to better equip and prepare the senior high school students for
college, works, or business. These develop life and career skills; and have attitudes,
appreciation and respect for work. This subject also allowed me to have a smooth transition
from school to work after we gain valuable experience.
Community Immersion allowed students who are not familiar with the people and
communities where they will work immerse themselves in these settings.
And this gives us the opportunity to reflect on our own assumptions, attitudes, and
the knowledge base of our profession and to gain cultural competence.
Through work immersion, I was able to explore, interact with people with different
personality, get to know my ideals of my future career, and most of all, I get to develop
myself in my chosen field.
With the hustle, fun and learning that we’ve had in our work immersion, I also get to
know myself. I was able to reflect on the advantages and the disadvantages on my future
career.
With this, I know that I can already adjust with my future after graduation and I will be
able to pursue my dream job.
As a student, I can say that over-all my experience in our work immersion subject
was great. I learned a lot while I am exploring and learning. This subject helped me a lot,
especially my learning from our work immersion teacher.
