The document discusses proper storage of aircraft components to preserve them in serviceable condition. Key steps include cleaning, drying, and protecting items from damage, bending, corrosion and temperature fluctuations. Components should be stored in a clean, well-ventilated area and packaged with protective materials like vapor phase inhibitors or protective oils. Proper documentation of stored parts is also important.
It also outlines safety procedures for connecting and using external power supplies for aircraft, such as checking voltage and polarity, ensuring connections are clean and secure, and properly switching power on and off to avoid damaging electrical systems.

component/item in fresh condition, fully serviceable and
ready to replace any unserviceable item. Great care is necessary to make sure the item not damage, chafing, scratching, indentation, and corrosion. Ensure that bending and flexing do not excessively strain materials because can effect to mechanical properties of the material. Store room should be clean, well ventilated, and maintained at an even temperature to minimise the effects of condensation. For preparation, the item thoroughly cleaned, dried, examined corrosion and treated as necessary. All aircraft components, wherever practicable, should remain packaged in protective material and compound such as Vapour Phase Inhibitor, protective oils, fluids, desiccants for prevent corrosion during storage. Always record and maintain the quality of parts and components reference from the manual instruction.
External power supply use for engine starting or permit
operation of the aircraft systems and equipment. Most light aircraft have DC electrical systems although alternating current (ac) is provided for the operation of certain equipment it is unusual for the aircraft to have provision for the connection of ac external power. usually the external power socket is connect for dc supply, provided solely by batteries or from a generator and battery set. precautions need when connecting the external supply, to prevent damage to the aircraft electrical system. for external power supply Check the voltage and polarity, plug and socket are clean, dry and undamaged. Aircraft batt and external supply master switch off then connect the external supply, make sure plug fully home in the socket. Switch on the external supply and the aircraft battery master switch, and carry out the servicing operations for which the external power was required. To disconnect, switch off the battery master switch, switch off the external supply, disconnect the external power plug, and if the aircraft electrical system is to be used (eg after engine starting), switch the battery master switch ‘ON’ again.
