The Honest Boy

Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Peter who lived in a small village.
Peter was a kind and honest boy, but he was also very poor. One day, Peter was
walking through the forest when he came across a bag of gold coins. The coins were
hidden under a rock, and Peter knew that they didn't belong to him.

Peter could have easily taken the coins and kept them for himself. He was poor, and
the coins would have made his life a lot easier. But Peter knew that it was wrong
to steal, so he decided to return the coins to their rightful owner.

Peter searched the forest until he found a house that matched the description of
the owner of the coins. He knocked on the door, and an old man answered.

"Excuse me, sir," Peter said. "I found this bag of coins in the forest, and I think
it might belong to you."

The old man was overjoyed. He had lost the coins a few days ago, and he had been
very worried about them. He thanked Peter profusely for his honesty, and he gave
Peter a reward for returning the coins.

Peter was happy to have helped the old man, and he was even happier to have done
the right thing. He knew that honesty was always the best policy, and he was proud
of himself for being honest even when it was difficult.
