Lines of responsibility: Responsible to the Medical Director

1- Summary of Responsibilities:

Nurses work as part of a team of professional and medical staff that includes doctors,
social workers and therapists.

Antenatal care, delivery, postnatal care, family planning, examination and treatment of a
certain number of gynecological diseases with the advice of the clinic doctor, reporting
of problem cases, registration and regular and timely reporting of activities.

2- Description of Duties
 assessing and planning nursing care requirements
 providing pre- and post-operation care
 monitoring and administering medication and intravenous infusions
 taking patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures
 writing records
 supervising junior staff
 organizing workloads
 providing emotional support to patients and relatives
 tutoring student nurses
 24-hour shift work can be a requirement of the job.
 Inspecting related equipment and non-consumable supplies on a quarterly basis and
reporting to the clinic manager.
 Active participation in health education, giving health education to pregnant mothers
and in relation to family planning.
 Referral of mixed events and problems to higher levels through the clinic manager.
 Accurate and regular registration and reporting of all activities.
 Preparation to participate in training courses.
 Try to create a friendly atmosphere between employees and customers.
 Regular and active participation in clinic meetings.
 Constant attendance at the duty station.
 Strict compliance with the laws and regulations of the organization.
 Compliance with Islamic, moral and social laws
 Assess patients prior to surgery and ensure a sterile environment.
 Properly plan operations by having all supplies prepared.
 Prepare patients on operating room table.
 Communicate with surgeons, pass instruments, and monitor patient vital signs.
 Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub

3- Job Requirements:
Knowledge Required.

 Diploma/University Certificate / bachelor’s degree in nursing.


 A Registered Nursing License

Experience:
three years' experience of working in intensive care setup in government or private
sector is preferred. Exceptional applicants with less experience may also be considered.

 Experience of working multy-cultural and/or pluri-disciplinary teams.
Skills Required
 three years' experience of working in intensive care setup in government or
private sector is preferred. Exceptional applicants with less experience may also

 Having the necessary information about basic health care and the health system.
 Knowledge and skills about registration and reporting system.

 Knowledge and skill about treatment, examination and guidance of pregnant


women.
 Knowledge and skills about helping with birth events and taking care of newborns.
 Knowledge and skills in identifying danger signs during pregnancy, childbirth and
after childbirth and how to regulate them.
 Knowledge and skills about family planning methods and how to guide women.
 Knowledge and skill about strict adherence to sepsis and anti-sepsis conditions.
 Knowledge and skills about how to sterilize equipment and supplies.
 Knowledge and skill about examination and treatment of some common
gynecological events.
 Knowledge and skills in dealing with emergency cases of childbirth and abortion.

 Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 Knowledge of the methods of analyzing blood, sputum, milk, water, urine, food
products, contaminants, soils, and industrial and municipal wastes.

  Ability to type, file and complete forms with or without accommodation. 


  Ability to operate a vehicle or otherwise access multiple sites in a timely manner. 
 Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
