Learning task 1.2
The medieval period is monophonic meaning one sound or single line melodies.
This was changed to polyphony that reaches a high degree of perfection with four or more
voices of equal importance in the renaissance period. Lastly, in the baroque period,
polyphony was changed to homophony that means when two or more different written forms
have the same pronunciation. The medieval music is mainly used in crhistian church. But
later on, when the baroque period started up until now, music was widely used in grand
theaters, concerts, and many more.
