PROPHET
ADAM ALAYHIS SALAM

Allah made big mountains and flowing rivers. He made the Angels and the
stars. He made the sun for the day and the moon for the night.

Then Allah decided to make a man. He called this first man Adam
(alayhis salam). Allah taught him the names of all the things. He is the first
Prophet of Allah.

idris ALAYHIS SALAM

After Adam (alayhis salam) came a wonderful Prophet, his name was Idris
(alayhis salam). Allah taught him how to write. He taught people all about the
stars and many other things. He was a wonderful Prophet of Allah.

Nuh ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Nuh (alayhis salam) was a kind and patient man. He told people to
do good deeds and believe in Allah but some of them did not listen.

Allah told Nuh (alayhis salam) to build a big boat and collect the animals and
the people who believed in Allah. Then a very powerful flood came but Allah
saved all the believing people and animals.

hud ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Hud was a very strong man. The people he lived with were called the
Adites. They used to build big beautiful buildings and were very strong. Allah
gave them so much but they were not grateful and did bad things.

Prophet Hud told them to do good and believe in Allah, but they did not lis-
ten. Hud (alayhis salam) kept warning them but they said ‘we are strong and
we can do what we want’.

Then, Allah sent a drought and they had no water. After that Allah sent a
strong storm and all the people who did not believe in Allah were destroyed.
The people who did believe in Allah were all safe because Allah protected
them.

salih ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Salih was sent to the people of Thamud. These people worshiped
idols and thought they were very powerful. Allah sent Salih (alayhis salam) to
remember Allah but many people did not listen. Salih (alayhis salam) never
gave up he kept telling them to worship Allah. Soon, people began to listen
and they began to worship Allah. This made the leaders very angry and they
told Salih (alayhis salam) to prove that Allah exists. They told Salih to bring
them a camel but it had to be a special camel.

Salih (alayhis salam) prayed to Allah and Allah sent a special camel to the
people. The camel gave the people milk for everyone to drink. This made
the leader even more angry and they killed the camel. Allah told Salih (alay-
his salam) to take all the good people away. Then, a terrible earthquake
came and destroyed the valley and all the bad people. We should always
be grateful for what Allah has given us.

lut ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Lut (alayhis salam) was a good man. Allah sent him far away from
his home to a place called Sodom and Gomorrah. He was sent to tell
people not to steal and do bad deeds. The people did not listen and
laughed at Prophet Lut (alayhis salam). Then, Angels came to give Prophet
Lut (alayhis salam) a message to leave the city with the people who
believed in one God. Once they left Allah sent a dreadful earthquake and
destroyed all the people. Allah again saved all the people who were good.

Ibrahim ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Ibrahim (alayhis salam) was a great Prophet. The people around
Ibrahim (alayhis salam) worshiped idols but he knew that Allah is the only one
we should worship.

He told the people Allah is the one Who created the stars, the sun and the
moon. Allah also created the plants, and animals for food. The sun, the moon
and the stars cannot give us anything to eat.

Allah has made the Earth so that people can live on it. He told them ‘do not
worship the idols and turn to Allah and worship Allah alone, and do good’.

Ismail ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Ismail (alayhis salam) was the son of Ibrahim (alayhis salam). The
Kaaba was built by Prophet Adam (alayhis salam). It was damaged by a
flood and Ibrahim (alayhis salam) and Prophet Ismail (alayhis salam) worked
together to rebuild the Kaaba.

ishaq ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Ishaq (alayhis salam) was the second son of Ibrahim (alayhis salam).
Prophet Ishaq (alayhis salam) was a very generous person and did many
good deeds.

Yaqub ALAYHIS SALAM

Yaqub (Alayhis salaam) was the son of Ishaq (Alayhis salaam) and the grand-
son of Ibrahim (alayhis salaam). He was a wonderful Prophet of Allah. He had
twelve sons, he was a great father.

yusuf ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Yusuf (alayhis salam) was the son of Yaqub (alayhis salam). He had eleven
brothers. Yusuf (alayhis salam) was a good and handsome boy and his father loved
him very much. This made his brothers very jealous and one day they threw him in a
well and told his father he was dead. He was then found by some merchants and
sold to a man and woman who had no children. He was then accused of a crime
he did not commit.

Years later The Pharaoh had a dream and because Yusuf (alayhis salam) helped
him understand the dream he was allowed out of prison. The Pharaoh gave Yusuf
(alayhis salam) a job and some time later his brothers came and saw Yusuf
(alayhis salam). They felt bad for what they had done and eventually Yusuf (alayhis
salam) met his father again. Yusuf (alayhis salam) never gave up and always be-
lieved in Allah. Yusuf (alayhis salam) was a wonderful Prophet of Allah.

shu'aib
ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Shu’aib (alayhis salam) was sent to the people of Madyan. They
were merchants but they were greedy for money and cheated
their customers.

Shu’aib (alayhis salam) told them not to do this and that they should worship
Allah who created them. They did not listen and said we are not afraid of
Allah’s punishment.

It did not take long for Allah’s punishment and all the bad people died in a
terrible earthquake. When the town was destroyed Shu’aib (alayhis salam)
and the people who believed in Allah were all saved. We should never
cheat people and always remember Allah.

Dawud
ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Dawud (alayhis salam) was young, he was a shepherd boy. He was
very strong and courageous. One day, a troop of warriors came to attack
his people, everyone was very scared but Dawud (alayhis salam) killed their
strongest warrior called Jalut. Allah helped Dawud (alayhis salam).

Allah also gave Dawud (alayhis salam) wisdom, power and skills. He was very
good at making things and he made wonderful things out of iron. Dawud
(alayhis salam) was a very fair Prophet and looked after his people very well.

sulaiman ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Sulaiman (alayhis salam) was the son of Dawud (alayhis salam).
Even from a young age he was very respected because he was very fair
and wise.

Allah made him a Prophet when he became a man. Allah taught Sulaiman
(alayhis salam) the language of the birds and the animals. He was very kind
to all the birds and animals. Sulaiman (alayhis salam) was very wealthy and
had many things but he never forgot Allah and always told people to thank
Allah for the good he has given you.

Ilyas ALAYHIS SALAM

After Sulaiman (alayhis salam) the kingdom broke down and people began
to forget Allah. Prophet Ilyas (alayhis salam) came to remind them that Allah
is our Lord and we should only worship Him.

Al-yasa
ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Al-Yasa (alayhis salam) looked after fed and served Prophet Ilyas
(alayhis salam). He loved Allah very much and prayed that Allah would grant
him good blessings. His prayers came true and after Ilyas (alayhs salam) Allah
made him a Prophet.

musa ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Musa (alayhis salam) was an amazing Prophet. He was brave and
always believed in Allah. Musa (alayhis salam) was given a book by Allah
called the Taurat (Torah).

Ayub ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Ayub (alayhis salam) was sent by Allah to the people of the desert.
Allah blessed Prophet Ayub (alayhis salam) with health, wealth vast farms,
and lots of cattle, but this did not make him arrogant. He was always grateful
and thanked Allah.

After some time Allah tested Ayub (alayhis salam). He lost his family, his farm
was attacked by thieves and he suffered from a very bad skin disease. Ayub
(alayhis salam) still remained patient and was grateful to Allah.

Allah was then Merciful and commanded Ayub (alayhis salam) to strike the
Earth with his foot. When he did this water gushed out, he had a bath with
that water and he was cured and Allah gave him back what he lost. Allah
rewarded Ayub (alayhis salam) for his patience.

yunus ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Yunus (alayhis salam) was sent to a people who forgot Allah. Prophet
Yunus tried hard to make them believe in Allah again but they did not listen to
him. He lost patience with them and left the town in anger. Afterwards he de-
cided to go across the sea in a ship. But, as he was on the ship he was thrown
overboard and a whale swallowed him up. The fish swallowed him in one big
gulp and he landed straight in the belly, unhurt.

Prophet Yunus (alayhis salam) began to think about what he had done. He
realised he should have stayed and remained patient and kept telling peo-
ple about Allah. So, he prayed to Allah and because Allah is Kind, He caused
Yunus (alayhis salam) to come out of the whale and to be swept to the shore.
Allah sent Yunus (alayhis salam) back to the town. This time, though, the
people there listened when he told them to believe and worship Allah
and do good.

Zakariyah ALAYHIS SALAM

Prophet Zakariyah (alayhis salam) and his wife were very old and they did
not have any children. They wanted a child very much. Zakariyah (alayhis
salam) prayed to Allah and as he was saying the prayer an Angel of Allah
appeared.

The Angel told him that Allah has heard your prayer, your wife will have a son
and his name will be Yahya. He will be good and honorable and he will be
Allah’s Prophet. Prophet Zakariyah and his wife prayed to Allah and thanked
Allah and when their son was born they named him Yahya.

Prophet Yahya (alayhis salam) was a wonderful Prophet of Allah. He was the
son of Zakariyah (alayhis salam) He was always kind to his parents and looked
after them.

The mother of Prophet Isa (alayhis salam) was called Maryam (alayhas
salam). Prophet Isa (alayhis salam) had many blessings from Allah. He was
able to perform many miracles with Allah’s help. He could cure the sick so
that they would be grateful to Allah. He could also bring the dead back to
life so that people would be happy and thank Allah.

muhammad SALLALAHU ALAYHI WASLAM

The Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alayhi wasalam) is the last and final
Prophet of Allah. Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alayhi wasalam) is the last
Prophet of Allah because Allah gave him the Qur’an and all that we must
know about llah can be found in the Qur’an. Everybody can look in the
Qur’an to discover what he should do.
