The command line interfac es provided by the SE2200 include a series of

configuration commands, through which you can configure and manage the SE2200.
The command line interfac e has the following features:
 Performs the loc al configuration through the console port.
 Performs the local or remote configuration through the Telnet command, which
can be used to directly log on to and manage other SE2200s.
 Users can enter <?> at any time to get online help.
 Provides prompt and help information in Chinese for national users’
convenience.
 Provides network diagnostic tools, such as Trac ert and Ping, to quickly diagnose
the availability of the net work.
 Provides all kinds of detailed debugging information to diagnose network faults.
 The command line interpreter adopts fuzzy search for the keywords of the
command. Any conflict-free keyword will be interpret ed. For example, for the
display command, you can just enter di s.

II. Command Line Interface

The SE2200 command line interface provides a rich set of configuration commands,
which are grouped in system view. E ach group corresponds to a view. (Please refer to

4.2.3 Slot Arrangement and Interface Numbering Rules

The SE2200 s upports various interfaces, such as console, AUX and Ethernet
interfaces. These interfaces are configured in the order of sequence numbers.
1) Slot arrangement

Figure 4-6 SE2200 slot arrangement

2) Interface numbering rules

SE2200 interfaces are numbered based on the following rules:

 The interfaces are numbered in the int erface-type X/0/Z format, in which,
interface specifies the interface type (such as Ethernet), X specifies the slot
number, and Z specifies the interface sequence number.
 As shown in the above figure, different interfaces of an interface module share
the same slot number X.
 For every interface, Z starts from 0 and Z indicates the interface sequence (from
left to right) on the interface module.

For example, 1FE and 2FE modules are installed in slot1 and slot 2 of the SE2200
respectively. The Ethernet ports are arranged as follows:
 Fixed Ethernet ports are Ethernet 0/0/0 and Ethernet 0/0/1.
 Ethernet port of 1FE module is Ethernet 1/0/0.
 Ethernet ports of 2FE module are Ethernet 2/0/0 and Ethernet 2/0/1.

E very interface is configured in special view. For details, refer to Quidway

SessionEngine2100/2200 Session Border Controllers Operation Manual.
