Monthly Emergency Equipment Inspection Policy
At Century Pacific Food Inc.- Dairy Division, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our
employees, visitors, and assets. To ensure the functionality and availability of emergency
equipment, we have implemented a Comprehensive Monthly Emergency Equipment
Inspection Policy. This policy outlines the procedures and responsibilities for conducting
regular inspections of emergency equipment throughout our premises.
2.0 Scope:
This policy applies to all areas and facilities within Century Pacific Food Inc.- Dairy Division. It
covers all emergency equipment, including but not limited to fire extinguishers, fire alarms,
emergency lighting, exit signs, first aid kits, eye wash stations, safety showers, evacuation
plans, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
Inspectors:
Trained and authorized personnel, appointed by the [Health and Safety Department/
Facility Management/ Maintenance Team], will conduct the inspections.
Inspection Schedule:
a. Emergency equipment inspections will be conducted on a monthly basis as a minimum
requirement.
b. The specific inspection schedule for each type of emergency equipment will be determined
based on regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and manufacturer
recommendations.
c. Inspection schedules will be communicated to designated personnel responsible for
conducting the inspections.
Inspection Procedures:
a. Designated personnel, trained in emergency equipment inspection procedures, will be
responsible for conducting the inspections.
b. Inspections will follow documented checklists specific to each type of emergency
equipment.
c. Inspectors will conduct thorough visual inspections, functional tests, and verification of
expiration dates (where applicable).
d. Inspections will cover accessibility, visibility, condition, proper functioning, appropriate
signage, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
e. Any observed deficiencies, damages, or non-compliance issues will be documented and
reported to the appropriate personnel for prompt corrective action.
Corrective Actions:
a. Identified deficiencies or non-compliance issues will be addressed through appropriate
corrective actions.
b. The responsible department or individual will be notified of the findings and required to
take corrective measures within a specified timeframe.
c. Documentation of corrective actions taken will be maintained for auditing purposes.
Recordkeeping:
a. A comprehensive record of all monthly emergency equipment inspections will be
maintained.
b. Inspection records will include inspection dates, inspection results, identified issues,
corrective actions taken, and the names of inspectors.
c. Records will be securely stored and easily accessible for review by authorized personnel and
regulatory authorities.
d. Inspection records will be retained for a specified period in accordance with applicable
regulations and internal policies.
5.0 Enforcement:
Non-compliance with this policy may result in disciplinary action, as per our company's
disciplinary procedures.
6. 0 Approval:
This policy is approved by Century Pacific Food Inc.-Dairy Division management and is
effective as of 15th of July 2023.
