Does God Want Me To Prosper?

Prov 3:13 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the
man who gains understanding, 14 for she is more
profitable than silver and yields better returns than
gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies; nothing you
desire can compare with her. 16 Long life is in her
right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
Prov 8:17 I love those who love me, and those who seek
me find me. 18 With me are riches and honor,
enduring wealth and prosperity. 19 My fruit is better
than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. 20
I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of
justice, 21 bestowing wealth on those who love me and
making their treasuries full.
Prov 4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget
my words or swerve from them. 6 Do not forsake
wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she
will watch over you. 7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore
get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get
understanding. 8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you;
embrace her, and she will honor you.
Prov 30:7 "Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not
refuse me before I die: 8 Keep falsehood and lies far
from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give
me only my daily bread. 9 Otherwise, I may have too
much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?'
Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the
name of my God.

12 Reasons God wants you to Prosper:
1. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity as a
reward for your obedience and faithfulness.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please
Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek
Him.
Deut 28:1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and
carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the
LORD your God will set you high above all the nations
on earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and
accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: 3
You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the
country. 4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and
the crops of your land and the young of your livestock-
- the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be
blessed. 6 You will be blessed when you come in and
blessed when you go out. 7 The LORD will grant that
the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated
before you. They will come at you from one direction
but flee from you in seven. 8 The LORD will send a
blessing on your barns and on everything you put
your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in
the land he is giving you. 9 The LORD will establish
you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if
you keep the commands of the LORD your God and
walk in his ways. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will
see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and
they will fear you. 11 The LORD will grant you
abundant prosperity-- in the fruit of your womb, the
young of your livestock and the crops of your ground--
in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you. 12
The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his
bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to
bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to
many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The
LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay
attention to the commands of the LORD your God that
I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will
always be at the top, never at the bottom.
Joshua 1:6 "Be strong and courageous, because you
will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their
forefathers to give them. 7 Be strong and very
courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant
Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to
the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your
mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may
be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will
be prosperous and successful.
People will not change until
they learn enough that they know how,
and they hurt enough that they want to!

2. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can honor Him with your Wealth.
Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the
firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be
filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over
with new wine.
Mal 1:6 "A son honors his father, and a servant his
master. If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If
I am a master, where is the respect due me?" says the
LORD Almighty.
3. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can send and support missionaries around
the World.
Rom 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they
have not believed in? And how can they believe in the
one of whom they have not heard? And how can they
hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how
can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written,
"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good
news!"
2Co 9:10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and
bread for food will also supply and increase your
store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your
righteousness. 11 You will be made rich in every way
so that you can be generous on every occasion, and
through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving
to God.
4. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can help the poor.
Pro 14:31 He who oppresses the poor shows contempt
for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy
honors God.
Pro 19:17 He who is kind to the poor lends to the
LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.
Pro 22:9 A generous man will himself be blessed, for
he shares his food with the poor.
Pro 28:8 He who increases his wealth by exorbitant
interest amasses it for another, who will be kind to the
poor.
Pro 28:25 A greedy man stirs up dissension, but he who
trusts in the LORD will prosper. 26 He who trusts in
himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept
safe. 27 He who gives to the poor will lack nothing,
but he who closes his eyes to them receives many
curses.
5. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can participate in establishing His
covenant.
Deut 8:18 "And you shall remember the LORD your
God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth,
that He may establish His covenant which He swore to
your fathers, as it is this day.

It takes money to print Bibles, build Bible Schools,
Build church buildings, hold Outreach Crusades, etc.
6. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
the Church can pay the Spiritual Leaders a good
salary.
1Ti 5:17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church
well are worthy of double honor, especially those
whose work is preaching and teaching. 18 For the
Scripture says, "Do not muzzle the ox while it is
treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his
wages."
7. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can provide for your Family.
1Ti 5:8 If anyone does not provide for his relatives,
and especially for his immediate family, he has denied
the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
8. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can give good gifts to your children.
Mt 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to
give good gifts to your children, how much more will
your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask
him!
Jas 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows.
9. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can leave an inheritance to your children
and Grandchildren.
Pro 13:21 Misfortune pursues the sinner, but
prosperity is the reward of the righteous. 22 A good
man leaves an inheritance for his children's children,
but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous.
10. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can pay your taxes and other obligations.
Mt 22:17 Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right
to pay taxes to Caesar or not?" … 21 "Caesar's," they
replied. Then he said to them, "Give to Caesar what is
Caesar's, and to God what is God's."
Rom 13:6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the
authorities are God's servants, who give their full time
to governing. 7 Give everyone what you owe him: If
you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if
respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. 8 Let no
debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to
love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has
fulfilled the law.
11. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can bring pleasure to His Heart.
Psa 35:27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, who
favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually,
"Let the LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the
prosperity of His servant."

12. God wants you to enjoy True Prosperity so that
you can be a shining testimony to His Goodness
and Bring Him Glory!
Psa 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Phil 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need
according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Jn 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and
to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have
life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
2Co 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he
became poor, so that you through his poverty might
become rich.
God is not against you having prosperity,
He is against you developing covetousness.
God is not against you having radical riches,
He is against you harboring filthy greed.
God is not against you having lots of money,
He is against you loving that money.
God is not against you having earthly treasures,
He simply wants you to place a higher priority
on your heavenly treasures.
Mk 8:36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole
world, yet forfeit his soul? 37 Or what can a man give
in exchange for his soul? 38 If anyone is ashamed of
me and my words in this adulterous and sinful
generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him
when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy
angels."
