3 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal,
even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to
bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and
divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

How long have you been a Christian? If you have been saved for some-
time my question to you is “Are you still on milk, or can you eat meat? “

We do not work for our salvation, we work with our salvation. Our sal-
vation is given to us not only to have our sins forgiven, but also to give us the
power to overcome daily sins that would so easily beset us. Jesus came to destroy
the works of Satan (! John 3:8). In order to destroy the works of Satan in our lives
we must live through the spirit and not the flesh, for in the flesh no man can please
God. We must put off the old man and put on the new man.
Eph 4:22-24
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is cor-
rupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness
and true holiness.
Col 3:8-14
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy com-
munication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of
him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Bar-
barian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies,
kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel
against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
You can see that there is a work to be done once you have received Eter-
nal life. You cannot dress your spirit the way you did before salvation. We must
learn a new way of dressing if we want to reap the benefits of our salvation. God
saved us to bear fruit and we cannot bear fruit unless we abide in Him (John 15).
The Scripture tells us we are His “Workmanship”
Eph 2:10
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Is your life showing forth good works? If not, how will the world know
there is any difference in you as a professing Christian?
Christ wants us to GROW UP! He has given unto man the measure of
faith. Each one of us has the privilege of increasing our faith and this is how we
do it.

1 Cor 2:9-10
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into
the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of God.
God has prepared everything we need to win the war. Now, let’s take a
look at how Satan treats the women who serve him.
Rev 17:1-7
17 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked
with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the
great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabit-
ants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit
upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and
ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold
and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abomina-
tions and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE
GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE
EARTH.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of
the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
There is much to be said about Babylon. She used her beauty and abili-
ties to destroy godly men. She was drinking the blood of the saints in her golden
cup. But in the end she will be destroyed and Satan will not be there to protect
her. He uses woman to do his bidding and then leaves them to be destroyed. In
the book of Daniel it tells us the Antichrist will have no need of woman. As Satan
gains rule, women will not be protected.
Rev 17:15-17
15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are
peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the
whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and
burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their king-
dom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
Whose kingdom are you serving? Jesus loves you and will protect you
and give you everlasting life. Satan will use you and when he is finished he will
turn you over to the world to be destroyed. Who do you belong to? Do you Help
or KILL those you serve? Your work makes a difference. ----Gloria Brewster

MONTHLY REPORT
Will we ever return to normal? Maybe the question should be, “What is
norma?” The last year and a half has not been normal for me but I can see God’s
hand all over the works of my life. What we go through is not as important as
HOW we go through it. We serve God in all kinds of weather. He is the same
yesterday, today and forever. I’m glad He doesn’t change.
I am attempting to do Tid Bits of Wisdom and the Wonderful Word. It
has been somewhat of a challenge to get the books and the work set up because
Connie didn’t have things on the computer. I appreciate your prayers. Bro. Larry
is back to printing the tracts for us and we are still getting them into Mexico.
While Wonderful Word concentrates on Spanish tracts, I have been burdened that
American is a real mission field at this time. I have written a track in English
about “God’s Triple AAA plan of salvation. I heard Bro.Wendell Calder. preach
Bro. Stony Darrt’s funeral and he gave God’s Triple AAA plan of salvation. With
his permission I have made a tract out of it. I would be glad to send copies if
requested.
Many of our brothers and sisters and their children have lost their lives
due to the way we came out of Afghanistan. Many are hungry and scared for their
lives. We need to hold them up before the Lord and ask mercy for them. They
are part of our body. We may one day be where they are.
Thank you to all our faithful supporters. Our cost has increased since
I do all the printing now. Please pray and ask God if He would want you to
share with us as we seek to encourage believers.
2 Peter 1:4-9
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by
these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corrup-
tion that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue
knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience
godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall nei-
ther be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath
forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Notice that each of these things are tied together. You add to each one.
You cannot pick one and ignore the other. They are like a chain and cannot be
separated. This is growing up!!!

The local church has never reached its zenith; it has never known its full
F power. It has never shown its true abilities, according to the New Testament, and
E presented them before the world! The church today is a busy people, as was Is-
M rael of old, but nevertheless the Lord has reserved the right to set aside members
A in His body for a particular work if He rules it. The ministry of singing and the
playing of instruments is a ministry placed in the body. We should therefore seek
L to find the Scriptural plan for this ministry in the church today.

Christ’s Bride, Jerusalem

Satan’s Harlot, Mystery Babylon
As a woman, I have spent my life feeling like most women have no idea
how valuable they are to creation. The woman is the producer of life. Without
her, man’s seed could do nothing. While she is to produce the life, she is also
to nourish life. She is to do the weaning of life, which gives a child a founda-
tion to build upon. Women today are not taking their role seriously. Too many
are turning their responsibilities over to someone else while they build a profes-
sion outside the home. God doesn’t say we can’t build a profession outside the
home, but if it takes priority to the work God has given you at home, then you are
more concerned about your work than God’s work. Women have the privilege of
building strong lives. I don’t see a lot of strong lives today. Do you? Our chil-
dren are fighting in the streets, either with fist or weapons. Have we not taught
them self-control? If we fight in the home, they will fight on the street. But that’s
not the lesson. The lesson is to show how important woman’s role in life is.

When God wanted to give to Jesus, He gave Him a bride. Jerusalem is

His bride. Satan needed a woman to do his work also. He chose the great whore,
Mystery Babylon. The Bible begins with the story of Eve and ends in Revela-
tions with two women, Jerusalem and Babylon. People who say the Bible is

They were right at the gate, right at the door of the house of God?
Let us now turn to 1 Chronicles 23:1-5. “When David was old and full of
days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel. David assembled all the leaders
of Israel, with the priests and Levites. The Levites thirty years old and upward
numbered, man by man, 38,000. Of whom 24,000 were to oversee the work of
the house of the Lord, and 6,000 were to be officers and judges. And, said David,
4,000 shall be gatekeepers, and 4,000 are to praise the Lord with the instruments
which I made for praise,” Notice the numbers of these men, 4,000 of whom were
to praise the Lord with the instruments “which I made for a praise!” We can see
by reading the Scriptures that music has been given a definite place in worship,
and that people were appointed to MINISTER through music.
What are we, the Church of Jesus Christ doing with music in the Twen-
tieth Century? Is it an integral part of our worship, or do we consider it an un-
important “extra” to be used or not used as one desires? Do we see it to convey
the message of Christ, or do we use it as the world does - to entertain? Have we
“over-used” the ministry of music, or do we have it in its proper perspective, as a
part of the whole, with Christ as the center?
Music, like the exercise of any other gift or ministry in the church, will be
rejected by a true believer unless its use exemplifies and manifests Jesus. Those
who have gone through the spectrum of gifts and ministries in the church have
found their greatest peace and joy in a Scriptural revelation of Jesus Christ. It is
Christ within that must hold the greater importance. On the resurrection morn-
ing the only thing that will matter to God is whether or not Christ was learned,
because then the Father is going to be looking only for Jesus.
Thus the ministry of music will not suffer when its motivation is cen-
tered in Jesus Christ. But a resolution in our mind and in our thinking is needed.
When Jesus is the center of all worship and ministry including music, our under-
standing of Him will grow. We are learning that there is so much more of Jesus
in the Word than we have knowledge of, that we cannot become taken up with
anything that is not Him. Spiritual growth takes place through the church - the
local church. Therefore the ministry of music through the local church is very
important in this earthly journey whether it be through the choir, congregational
or special group singing, or through the mediums of radio, television, or other
means of evangelism.
As we read the Apostle Paul’s message in Ephesians, Galatians, Corin-
thians, and in the first three chapters of John’s Revelation to the Scriptural local
churches, we can see that much of the power of music and the responsibility of
the local church toward it has today been destroyed. Through the years, because
of extreme hierarchal control, local churches have suffered much loss, even to the
extent of having its pertinent doctrines of Christianity destroyed. It is not surpris-
ing that songs about the Cross of Jesus have been deleted from the hymnals

just about men haven’t read the book. Please read Revelations 12, 17, 18, to learn
about these two women and how they were treated.
Rev 12:1-6
12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the
sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve
stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon,
having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the
earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered,
for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron:
and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of
God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Jesus enters into covenant and takes a wife. He pledges His life to her
care. If a man will not pledge his life to you, do not give of yourself to him. If
you do not plan to build his life, don’t take his name. You are valuable.
This woman, Jerusalem, is clothed with the sun. Do you remember when
Joseph dreamed a dream that his father was the sun, his mother was the moon
and the sons were the stars. The sun represents the father’s position. She is
clothed, covered by him. This represents protection and acceptance. They were
working together as ONE. The moon was under her feet. She was in control
of her responsibilities. The twelve stars represented her sons. They were her
glory.
We find her birthing the Lord Jesus Christ. She is fulfilling the will of
God in her life. It’s not an easy work. There was much pain and labor, but God
was there to protect her.
The old dragon hates for us to do the work of God and bring forth life.
That’s why he went after Eve. He wanted to destroy the womb, because he knew
Jesus would come through a woman’s womb, but he didn’t know who would
birth the Lord Jesus. Now Jesus is coming forth and the dragon is trying to de-
stroy him from the beginning. Satan tried to get Jesus to turn on God when he
tempted him in the wilderness, but he failed. Satan then got the religious to send
Christ to the cross, but he couldn’t stop the resurrection!!! Jesus ascended into
heaven and God prepared a place of protection for Jerusalem.
There are many things to learn from these Scriptures, but what I want us
to see is God‘s love and protection for woman. If you give your life to Christ,
this is the way He will treat you. The Lord Jesus Christ serves those who serve
Him. He fights our battles. He doesn’t leave us alone to fight the enemy. Don’t
be afraid to do the will of God for your life!

MUSIC?
Music - An age-old expression of the inward heart of man

(There is no better way to have THANKSGIVING than praising God with
song!)
Today in the Twentieth Century, music is used in perhaps more ways
than ever before in history. Through the medium of radio, television, and record-
ings music is available nearly anytime or anyplace. It is used to express one’s
feelings. It is used to entertain. It is used by our commercially-mined society to
convey a message. It is USED. Indeed, it is used, and it is MIS-used.
Where did music originate? Since every good and perfect gift comes
from above, we have only to look to our Heavenly Father and His plan to see why
we have music. In Heaven, where angel choirs have always sung praises before
the throne of God, music has always been a part of worship. This gift has been
given us by the Father for the express purpose of bringing honor and glory unto
Himself. We need look no further than His Word to see how this may be accom-
plished.
In the Old Testament, we find some very interesting Scripture concerning
the use of music. Consider these verses which tell of its ministry in the Levitical
Priesthood.
“There are the singers, heads of the father’s houses of the Levites, dwell-
ing in the temple chambers, free from other services, because on duty day and
night. These were heads of father’s houses of the Levites, according to their
generations, chief men, who lived in Jerusalem. So the priests and the Levites
sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel. The Levi-
ties carried the ark of God on their shoulders with poles, as Moses commanded by
the word of the Lord. David told the chief Levities to appoint their brethren, the
singers, with instruments of music, harps, lyres, and cymbals, to play loudly and

lift up their voices with joy. So the Levites appointed Heman, son of Joel, and of
his brethren, Asaph, son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari, their brethren,
Ethan son of Kushniah. So the singers Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed
to sound bronze cymbals” (1 Chronicles 9:33,34; 15:14-17, 19).
Notice these men were set aside and appointed! In chapter 15, verses
20-21 we find that some were to play harps and psalteries, with lyres. In verse
22 Chenaniah, leader of the Levities in singing, was put in charge of carrying the
ark and lifting up song because he was skilled and able. In verse 24 seven priests
were to blow the trumpets before the ark of God.
Then in verses 27 and 28 we find a robed choir! “David was clothed with
a robe of fine linen, as were the Levities who bore the ark, and the singers, and
Chenanian, who bore the ark, director of the music of the singers. David also
wore an ephod of linen. Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the
Lord with shouting, sound of the coronet, trumpets, and cymbals, sounding aloud
with harps and lyres.” In verse 4 of chapter 16 it says, “He appointed Levities to
minister before the ark of the Lord, and to celebrate (by calling to mind), thanking
and praising the Lord, the God of Israel.”
Have you wondered why we become depressed at times? Perhaps it is
because no one has been singing and reminding us of the God of Israel! Have
you noticed how contagious depression is? It is never hard to find someone else
who is down. However, if someone is playing an instrument, or singing praises
to God, there is victory!
“Then on that day David first entrusted to Asap and his brethren the sing-
ing of thanks to the Lord as their chief task. O give thanks to the Lord; call on
His name; make known His doings among the people! Sing to Him, sing praises
to Him; meditate and talk of all His wondrous works and devoutly praise them!
Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those rejoice who seek the Lord and His
strength, yearn for and seek His face and to be in His presence continually! (Ear-
nestly) remember the marvelous deeds which He has done, His miracles, and the
judgments He uttered (as in Egypt)” (chapter 16:7-12). They devoutedly praised
Him with a song and a psalm!
In verse 37, of the same chapter we read “so David left Asaph and his
brethren before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister before the ark con-
tinually, as each day’s work required.” David went on about his own duties, and
he left Asaph and his brethren to keep on singing and praising God as each day’s
work required. It was work. It was their job. Not just once or twice a week in
the choir or orchestra, but a daily ministry.
“With them were Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen and
expressly named to give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and loving-kindness
endureth forever. With them were Heman and Jeduthan with trumpets and cym-
bals for those who should sound aloud, and instruments for accompanying the
songs of God. And the sons of Jeduthan were to be at the gate (verses 41-42).
