Introduction: partly agree, but not the most important one

Body 1: money is important but there is more to a job than money

- Salary is undoubtedly important =>dedicate efforts to work ( if feel fairly compensated )
But not the prior consideration.
- Job satisfaction is also crictical => Lots of people place a high value on a posh remuneration ><
work environment, flexibility of working hours are some significant factors to consider too =>
become more productive at work + easier for the schedule arrangements when working at
workplaces and tasks at home.
 Job satisfaction has been scientifically proven to boost people’s happiness and wellbeing.
Ex: a person who earns less money will be happier than someone who makes a lot of
money but is under lots of stress and pressure at work
Body 2: career advancement is a vital part at work, so people should be taken it into account
- People tend to work at a company -> new skills, have an opportunity to approach people,
enhance some essential skills, promotions, increasing job responsibilities
- For ex, have lots of opportunities to get promote and will be provided prospects for
advancement

When choosing a job, the salary is the most important consideration. To what extent do you
agree or disagree?

Salary is the most important consideration when choosing a job because it is the ultimate
reward for the job fulfillment and also plays the vital role of job selection. However, I believe
that salary is not the sole consideration because there is more to a job such as job satisfaction
and career progression and these two elements are equally important aspects. This essay will
elucidate my opinions.

To begin with, lots of people place a high value on a posh remuneration. For instance, an
individual will dedicate greater efforts at work if they feel fairly compensented. But job
satisfaction should be taken into account because if an individual works in a workplace with
high salary but the work environment is pathetic so this problem can lead to a bad
environment, employees will not feel comfortable and productive at work, and they also can
not enhance their skills. So, people should consider carefully when choosing a job, whether
that company has co-operative and supportive atmosphere in order to work effectively and will
gain a lot of knowledge. Interestingly, job satisfaction has been scientifically proven to boost
people’s happiness and well-being. For example, a person who earns less money but works at a
good environment will be happier than someone who makes lots of money but is under a lot
of pressure and stress.

Furthermore, when it comes to choosing a job, people also give professional advancement a
lot of consideration including skills, exposure opportunity, increasing job responsibilities. These
things are very vital because it will impact on an individual’s career growth. For instance, some
people who want to enhance their skills will choose companies which specialize in their chosen
job so that they can be provided prospects for advancement at work. On top of that, being in
contact with more people will increasing oneself’s relationship and it is good chances to broad
their knowledge, expose with new things, reap the experiences from seniors.

On the other hand, salary is indeed the most critical aspect because no other factor has a
significant impact on people’s lifestyle and life than money. A good salary can help an
individual to spend on household items, daily life needs, entertainment and other expenses.
Therefore, they can work with peace of mind without being pressured by money. Nevertheless,
I believe that salary alone can not provide contentment what good is a well-paying job if it
does not have career progression and satisfaction? Thus, essential facts such as working hours,
working environments, and perks and benefits should be taken into account when selecting a
decent job.

To sum up, I totally acknowledge that remuneration is a important part at work, however, it
should not be the only factor. Individuals should consider other parameters such as working
conditions, locations, hours and schedule flexibility, and satisfaction when pursuing a career.
Thus, it is preduent to be mindful of the employment choices by weighing all facest of the job.
