Remote Sensing Assignment-1

1. Go to google earth
2. Write down the name of sensors and satellite series that are
in use in google earth.
3. Search for your house(your native place not GHEC Bandla)
and add a placemark right in the middle of your house building.
(Using the icon given on bottom left of google earth
webpage and add details to placemark as well)
4. Using the measure tool (in google earth), determine the
perimeter and area of your home building in SI Units. (Make
sure the boundary of building is selected in zoomed in image)
5. Calculate the percentage error in the above measurements.
(Error will be there because of difference in actual area on the
ground and measured area in the image)
Hint- take some reference data (ground data & corresponding
image data) to calculate the error in measurement.

Make a word file of all these steps. Make sure assignment is

presentable and font style and size is uniform throughout.
