The most common failures of LG washing

machines
Your LG washing machine suddenly gives a malfunction. You see this because there is an error
code on the display. You may also see in a different way that something is not going well. For
example, when the drum remains full of water. Of course you want a solution for this LG failure
quickly. In this article you can read per error message what to do.

LG error code IE

See your IE error message on the display of your LG washing machine? Then there is a problem
with the water supply. Turn the tap all the way on, so that enough water can get through. Then
check whether there is a kink in the supply hose. Remove the kink or replace the hose if it is
broken. Finally, check the supply hose filter. You do this by disconnecting the hose from the tap.
Just to be sure, prepare a towel. If it is dirty, clean the filter and reconnect the hose.

LG error code OE

If you see an error message OE on the display, the drain is blocked. Is there a kink in the drain
hose? Then remove this kink. It may also be that there is, for example, a hairpin or coin in the
filter for the drain pump. To check this, open the cover on the front of the washing machine.
Usually this is at the bottom right. Remove the filter and clean it. Then replace the filter. Test
whether the washing program works now.

LG error code UE

In the event of a UE failure the washing machine is out of balance. For example when there was
too little in the drum. Therefore, add some matching laundry. It is also possible that your laundry
is on one side of the drum. Is this the case? Then redistribute it to get a better balance. Did you
wash heavy items, such as a bathrobe or mat? Even then it may be necessary to rearrange it.

LG error code dE, dE1, or dE2

If you see the message dE, dE1, or dE2, the door is not closed properly. Therefore, push the door
firmly until you hear a click. Possibly laundry is stuck in the door. In a more extreme case, the
door lock is broken and you need a technician.

LG error code LE

The motor is overloaded when you see LE. There may be too much laundry in the drum; so get
something out of it. To cool the engine, leave the washing machine alone for 30 minutes. Then
restart the washing program.

LG error code AE

Fault AE indicates that there is a leak in the washing machine. Turn the device off immediately
and disconnect it from the power. Completely close the water supply tap. Contact LG or the
seller if your washing machine is covered by the warranty.

LG failure PE

You see error code PE: this means a malfunction with the water level sensor. Close the water tap
and unplug the power cord. Check whether the washing machine is properly connected to the
water supply. Is there a blockage or kink in the supply hose? Then clean the hose or remove the
kink. Then turn the device on again.
