Mixing Lyophilized 5,000 IU hCG Vials

1. Gather all supplies needed:

 hCG vial (only mix one vial at a time, before you are ready to start using that vial)
 bacteriostatic water
 mixing syringe

These supplies will come with the hCG injection kit. Make sure that you wash your hands
with soap and water and dry well or use an alcohol-based hand-cleaning product before
mixing your hCG lyophilized powder.

2. How to mix your hCG injection powder:

1. Remove the brightly colored plastic cap or small circular

metal cap to expose the center of the inner rubber stopper
on the hCG vial and the bacteriostatic water vial. Tap down
the hCG vial to ensure that all powder is collected at the
bottom of the vial. Place them on a flat surface.
2. Open the syringe and needle from their packaging and
connect the two, if necessary. Make sure the syringe and the
needle are completely tight so that no liquids can leak, even
if they came already connected. This also prevents
accidental disconnection of the needle.

3. To draw bacteriostatic water from the vial, pull back on the plunger and pull air
into the syringe equal to the amount of liquid you will need to draw. Pull the

Page 2
needle cap straight off the needle and insert the needle straight through the
rubber stopper. Push the plunger of the syringe down and inject air into the
vial. The bacteriostatic water vials are under vacuum with negative oxygen
pressure, rendering it harder to tug the fluid out. Thus, injecting air helps
alleviate the vacuum-like pressure pulling against you.
4. Hold the bacteriostatic water vial upside down and withdraw the amount of
bacteriostatic water needed to dilute the hCG powder.

 5,000 IU Add 5 ml of bacteriostatic water into the vial of your hCG

You will be filling your daily injection syringes to the 25 syringe unit mark for 5,000
IU vials that are mixed with 5mL of bacteriostatic water.

5. Clear the air bubbles out of the syringe by tapping it with your finger to get all
the air bubbles to the top. Push up on the plunger slightly until they are all gone.
6. When measuring the amount of water, read from the top ring (closest to the
needle) and not the bottom ring or the raised section in the middle of the plunger.
Make sure the top ring of the rubber seal is at the correct mark.
7. Insert the diluent into your vial of powdered hCG. Swirl gently until the hCG
powder is completely dissolved. Don't shake.

Page 3
Drawing hCG for Injections
1. Get your insulin syringe and with the needle cover still on the needle, pull back on
the plunger and pull air into the syringe.

2. Turn the vial upside down and slowly pull back on the plunger and let the hCG
hormone enter the syringe, filling up to the 25 syringe unit mark. Again, read from
the top ring and not the bottom ring.
3. Gently tap the syringe until the air bubbles rise to the top of the syringe barrel.
Then push the plunger, forcing the air out of the syringe. Once again pull the
plunger back to the 25 syringe unit mark. Repeat these steps if needed.
5. Prefill all syringes and store them inside the refrigerator.
6. Clean the injection site with an alcohol prep pad before administering the hCG
injection. Please see page 6 of the Program Guide for Subcutaneous Injection
instructions.
7. Immediately discard all used syringes in a sharps disposal container to reduce the
risk of needle sticks, cuts, or punctures from loose sharps. If you don’t have or did
not purchase this together with your medication, you can use a heavy-duty plastic
household container as an alternative (an empty liquid laundry detergent
container is a good example) that’s able to close with a tight-fitting, puncture-
resistant lid, without sharps being able to come out.

Mixing Lyophilized 9mg Sermorelin Vials

3. Gather all supplies needed:

 Sermorelin vial (only mix one vial at a time, before you are ready to start using that vial)
 bacteriostatic water
 mixing syringe

These supplies will come with Sermorelin vials. Make sure that you wash your hands with
soap and water and dry well or use an alcohol-based hand-cleaning product before
mixing your hCG lyophilized powder.

4. How to mix your Sermorelin injection powder:

8. Remove the brightly colored plastic cap or small circular

metal cap to expose the center of the inner rubber stopper
on the sermorelin vial and the bacteriostatic water vial. Tap
down the sermorelin vial to ensure that all powder is
collected at the bottom of the vial. Place them on a flat
surface.
9. Open the syringe and needle from their packaging and
connect the two, if necessary. Make sure the syringe and the
needle are completely tight so that no liquids can leak, even
if they came already connected. This also prevents
accidental disconnection of the needle.

10. To draw bacteriostatic water from the vial, pull back on the plunger and pull air
into the syringe equal to the amount of liquid you will need to draw. Pull the

Page 5
needle cap straight off the needle and insert the needle straight through the
rubber stopper. Push the plunger of the syringe down and inject air into the
vial. The bacteriostatic water vials are under vacuum with negative oxygen
pressure, rendering it harder to tug the fluid out. Thus, injecting air helps
alleviate the vacuum-like pressure pulling against you.
11. Hold the bacteriostatic water vial upside down and withdraw the amount of
bacteriostatic water needed to dilute the Sermorelin powder.

 5,000 IU Add 5 ml of bacteriostatic water into the vial of your hCG

You will be filling your daily injection syringes to the 30 syringe unit mark.

12. Clear the air bubbles out of the syringe by tapping it with your finger to get all
the air bubbles to the top. Push up on the plunger slightly until they are all gone.
13. When measuring the amount of water, read from the top ring (closest to the
needle) and not the bottom ring or the raised section in the middle of the plunger.
Make sure the top ring of the rubber seal is at the correct mark.
14. Insert the diluent into your vial of powdered Sermorelin. Swirl gently until
the Sermorelin powder is completely dissolved. Don't shake.

Page 7
Drawing Sermorelin for Injections
1. Get your insulin syringe and with the needle cover still on the needle, pull back on
the plunger and pull air into the syringe.

2. Turn the vial upside down and slowly pull back on the plunger and let the
mixed Sermorelin enter the syringe, filling up to the 30 syringe unit mark. Again,
read from the top ring and not the bottom ring.
3. Gently tap the syringe until the air bubbles rise to the top of the syringe barrel.
Then push the plunger, forcing the air out of the syringe. Once again pull the
plunger back to the 30 syringe unit mark. Repeat these steps if needed.
4. Prefill all syringes and store them inside the refrigerator.
5. Clean the injection site with an alcohol prep pad before administering the
Sermorelin injection. Please see Page 6 of the Program Guide for Subcutaneous
Injection instructions.

Page 7
Drawing Semaglutide for Injections
You will be injecting amounts based on the following two Semaglutide dosing
schedules. Inject on the same day every week.

Standard Dosing Schedule

Weeks 1-4: 0.25mg (10 syringe marks) once weekly
Weeks 5-8: 0.5mg (20 syringe marks) once weekly
Weeks 9-12: 1mg (40 syringe marks) once weekly
Weeks 13-16: 1.7mg (68 syringe marks) once weekly
Week 17 and after: 2.4mg (96 syringe marks) once weekly

Semaglutide Max Dosing Schedule

Week 1: 0.5mg (20 syringe marks)
Week 2: 1mg (40 syringe marks)
Week 3: 1.5mg (60 syringe marks)
Week 4: 2mg (80 syringe marks)
Week 5 and after: 2.4mg (96 syringe marks)

1. Get your insulin syringe and with the needle cover still on the needle, pull back on
the plunger and pull air into the syringe.
2. Swap the rubber stopper on the vial with an alcohol prep pad and push the needle
through the stopper and into the vial.
3. Turn the vial upside down and slowly pull back on the plunger and let the
Semaglutide enter the syringe, filling up to the correct syringe mark. Read from
the top ring (closest to the needle) and not the bottom ring.
4. Gently tap the syringe until the air bubbles rise to the top of the syringe barrel.
Then push the plunger, forcing the air out of the syringe. Once again pull the
plunger back to the correct syringe mark, repeating if necessary until there are no
bubbles and the correct amount of Semaglutide is in the syringe.
5. Clean the injection site with the alcohol prep pad before administering the
Semaglutide injection. See the Subcutaneous Injection Instructions on page 6 for
further instructions.

Page 8
A subcutaneous injection, also known as an SQ Injection is given in the fatty layer of tissue
just under the skin. Syringes for Subcutaneous Injections will use smaller needles than
those used for injections into the muscle. The typical Insulin or TB syringes will have a
half- inch or less needle length because it only needs to go slightly below the skin level.
Only certain types of medications such as hCG, lipotropics, l-lysine, and vitamin
injections can be given subcutaneously.

Subcutaneous injections can be given straight in at a 90-degree, or 45-degree angle. You

can give the shot at a 90-degree angle if two inches of the skin can be grasped between
your thumb and index finger. If only one inch of skin can be grasped, give the shot at a
45- degree angle.

Page 9
Page 10
Upper Arm:

Uncover the arm to the shoulder to see the whole arm. Have the person getting the shot
stand with hand on hip. Stand next to and a little behind the person. Find the area in the
middle part of the arm, halfway between the elbow and shoulder. Gently grasp the skin at
the back of the arm between your thumb and first 2 fingers. You should have 1-2 inches
of skin.

Abdomen:

Uncover the abdomen to see the whole area. Find the waist area. You may give a shot
bounded by these landmarks: below the waist, to just above the hip bone, and from
where the body curves at the side to about 2 inches from the middle of the abdomen. Use
the natural line in the middle of the body as a marker. It may be hard to see, but it is
there unless it was covered by surgery. Avoid the surrounding area 2 inches from the belly
button.

Thigh:

Uncover the entire leg. Find the area between the knee and hip. The middle of the thigh,
from mid-front to mid-side, on the outside part of the thigh, is a safe site. Gently grasp
the area to make sure you can pinch 1-2 inches of skin.

What items do I need to give a subcutaneous injection?

 One alcohol wipe

 The vial containing the injectable medication
 The correct size needle and syringe (included in your package)

HOW DO I INJECT MEDICATION INTO SUBCUTANEOUS SITES?

Please read the section all the way through before giving the shot. It is important to get a
general idea of what you are about to do before you begin. You may read this step-by-
step procedure again as you do it.

Page 11
1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and dry them completely. Open the foil
covering the alcohol wipe. Wipe the area where you plan to give the shot. Let the
area dry.
2. Take the cover off the needle. Hold the syringe with your writing hand and pull the
cover off with your other hand, like taking a cap off a pen.
3. If you will give the shot at a 45-degree angle, hold the syringe with your writing
hand. Place the syringe between your thumb and your index and second fingers.
The needle should be pointing upwards or downwards at the 45-degree angle you
plan to use.
4. If you will give the shot at a 90-degree angle, hold the syringe with your writing
hand. Hold the syringe under your thumb and first finger. Let the barrel of the
syringe rest on your second finger. (Many people hold a pen this way when they
write)
5. Grasp the skin with the hand not holding the syringe. Holding the syringe barrel
tightly with your writing hand, use your wrist to insert the needle through the skin.
Sometimes the needle goes in easily. Some people have tougher skin and a little
more pressure or quickness will be required. Once the needle is all the way in,
push the plunger down slowly to inject the syringe’s contents.
6. Remove the needle at the same angle you put it in.

Page 12
Correct Method For Taking hCG Pellets
1. Place pellet under your tongue and let it dissolve completely.
2. Do not eat or drink anything for at least 20 minutes after the pellet has dissolved.
3. Please note: Pellets do not need to be kept refrigerated.

hCG Diet Typical Day

1. Wake up in the morning, use the restroom, weigh yourself, and inject your hCG (or
take pellet).
2. Breakfast will be only black coffee/black tea and a piece of melba toast or 1 to 2
crunchy breadsticks (20-25 calories total for melba toast or breadsticks).
3. Wait for at least 2-3 hours after your injection before eating your first main meal
(lunch).
4. Lunch and dinner will be lean protein and a vegetable from the approved foods list.
5. If you have remaining calories, you can fit in snacks between meals or after dinner,
but no food any later than an hour before your bedtime.

hCG Cycle Rules, Tips, and Tricks

1. No more, and no less, than 500 calories per day, unless otherwise directed by the
prescribing physician or patient care coordinator.
2. Meal prep is highly advised to adhere to food restrictions.
3. We highly recommend keeping a food diary, whether it’s on paper or using a
smartphone app.
4. Weigh yourself at the same time every day.
5. All serving sizes listed are precooked amounts.
6. When determining your meal plan and calorie count for the day, it is best to start
with your proteins, determine their calories, and then fill in the rest of your daily
500 calories for the day with vegetables and snacks.
7. No carbs or fats are allowed, other than what is already contained in your lean
protein/veggies/fruits.
8. NO ARTIFICAL SWEETENERS!
9. Drink 2 liters of water daily. (Y o u ca n h a ve cl u b so d a a s w e ll , j u st
n o th i n g w it h an y ar t i f i ci a l swe e t en e r s.) Many patients are afraid to
drink so much because they fear that this may make them retain more water.
This is a wrong notion as the body is more inclined to store water when the
intake falls below its normal requirements.

Page 13
10. The HCG Institute does not recommend loading/gorging days before starting the
HCG Diet.
11. Exercising is a great way to increase your caloric intake with the HCG diet.
Consider 500 net calories; if you were to burn 100 calories during your daily
exercise you could add 100 calories to your diet. Please also note that estimates
provided from exercise equipment or any tools about the number of calories
burned are typically inaccurate measurements of actual calories lost.
12. If you find yourself unable to follow the 500 calorie diet to completion you can
increase your caloric intake up to as much as 800 calories per day; however,
weight lost on a higher calorie restriction is less than with a 500 calorie diet. We
advise checking with a Patient Care Coordinator before modifying your diet.
13. The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Are you sure that’s enough hCG for my 20 (or 40) day cycle?
Answer: Yes, you’ll only be injecting .25mL daily, so although it doesn’t look like there is a
lot of fluid in the syringe, the math is correct. If you have 5mL of liquid injected at .25mL
per day, it will last 20 days. If you have 10mL per liquid and are injecting .25mL per day, it
will last for 40 days.

Question: How do I know that this is legitimate hCG?

Answer: You can purchase an at-home pregnancy test and put 10-15 drops of the
liquid/mixed hCG on the test and you will get a positive result.

Question: What do I do if my weight loss stalls?

Answer: It is not unusual for patients to have a day in which they don’t lose any weight.
You should show a loss the next morning. If you go 2-3 days without losing any weight
(hitting a plateau), or if you start gaining weight, please email or call in to speak with a
Patient Care Coordinator to go over your diet and see if anything needs to be changed.

Question: How long before I can do another cycle?

Answer: The HCG Institute does not recommend doing The hCG Diet for more than 40
days straight. If you need to do another cycle after your 40-day cycle, you will first need to
complete the 3-week Maintenance Phase before starting another cycle. If you just did
a 20-day cycle, you can do the Maintenance Phase after, or you can immediately go
into another 20-day cycle.

Page 14
Question: Can I eat breakfast?
Answer: No. You will not be eating a full breakfast. You can have black coffee or tea, and
a piece of melba toast or 1-2 breadsticks.

Question: Wouldn’t I be losing the same amount of weight if I only ate 500 calories per
day without the hCG?

Answer: No. In fact, if you reduce your daily calories to 500 without hCG, your body will
go into starvation mode, which basically shuts down your metabolism and then your body
tries to convert everything you are eating into fat, as it thinks you are starving. The hCG is
what keeps your metabolism going, thereby forcing your body to burn your stored fat for
energy due to the caloric deficit. We DO NOT recommend doing a 500 calorie-per-day diet
without hCG.

Question: Why can’t I have artificial sweeteners if they have no calories?

Answer: Even though artificial sweeteners have no calories, your metabolic processes can
react to them the same way that they react to sugar, which can throw off your diet and
weight loss.

Question: If I’m not losing weight as fast as I want, should I try an apple or a steak day?
Answer: Contact a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) if your weight loss is slowing down or
has plateaued. It may only take some changes to your diet to get back on track. It is not
recommended to do an apple or a steak day without consulting with a PCC first.

Question: I’m a vegetarian/vegan. What options do I have with the hCG Diet?
Answer: The difficult thing for vegetarians is for you to get adequate protein in your diet,
but without added carbs. Some protein options for vegetarians/vegans are listed below:

 Cottage Cheese: ½ cup, fat-free

 One whole egg + 3 egg whites
 Tofu-one serving MUST have between 75-140 calories and between 15-21g
protein. It must have less than 5g fat & less than 5g of carbohydrates
 The following proteins can be used no more than twice weekly, as they are highly
processed foods:
o Morning Star Farms Grillers-Original Flavor Only
o Boca Original Vegan Burger
o Morning Star Farms Sausage Patties – Original Flavor only
o Boca All America Flame Grilled Burger
o Boca All America Classic, made with non-GMO soy

Page 15
Question: Why can I have some vegetables, but not others?
Answer: Vegetables are healthy foods for any diet, but their blood sugar spike potential
varies vastly. Approved vegetables do not spike your blood sugar, like broccoli, cabbage,
lettuce, onions, and peppers, which all have a glycemic index (GI) of 10. (Glycemic index
measures food blood sugar impact). Tomatoes, cauliflower, and eggplant also have a low
glycemic index of 15. Raw carrots have a glycemic index of 16, but boiled carrots jump up
to a GI of 41. Frozen green peas and sweet corn have GIs of 39 and 47, respectively. These
examples illustrate why some vegetables are allowed and others are not.

Apple Day Regimen
To break the stall of the plateau phase, the Apple Day technique was introduced. When
people on the diet experience a plateau and have consulted with a Patient Care
Coordinator, he or she should start his or her apple day. The Apple Day starts from
lunchtime to the next lunchtime the next day. During this time duration, the person
should take and eat 6 big apples. He or she is instructed that whenever he feels like he
wants to eat or feel the appetite to eat, he or she should eat one apple. But, only until 6
apples he or she should consume. They are also instructed that aside from water, an apple
is the only food they can eat.

Steak Day Regimen

This is when the dieter abstains from certain foods for the majority of the day. Literally, he or
she should not eat breakfast and even lunch. He or she should maintain an increased water
intake or take coffee or tea for the fasting period. Then, during dinner, he or she should enjoy
eating a large (8-10 oz) steak. The steak should be cooked and eaten with a raw tomato or
an apple as a side dish.

Maintenance Phase
The Maintenance Phase is a minimum 3-week period after you finish your injections. Dr.
Simeons outlines a few rules here:

 Gradually increase your calories up to no more than 1,500 per day

 You must weigh yourself every day
 You must remain within 2 pounds of your last injection weight (over *OR* under). If you
go over the 2 pounds, you must immediately do a steak day.
 You cannot eat sugars and starches (which is carbohydrates minus the fiber)
 B12 (Methylcobalamin) or Ultra Lipotropic 10 injections are strongly
recommended during this period
 It is extremely important to eat plenty of protein during this period. Many patients can eat
at least 100 grams of true protein (about 400 grams of actual meat, precooked weight).
 After the third week, you can gradually reintroduce sugars and carbs back into your diet.

It takes about 3 weeks before the weight reached at the end of the treatment becomes stable,
i.e. does not show violent fluctuations after an occasional excess. During this period
patients must realize that the so-called carbohydrates, that is sugar, rice, bread, potatoes,
pastries, etc, are by far the most dangerous. If no carbohydrates whatsoever are eaten, fats can
be indulged in somewhat more liberally and even small quantities of alcohol, such as a glass
of wine with meals, does not harm, but as soon as fats and starch are combined things are very
liable to get out of hand. This has to be observed very carefully during the first 3 weeks after
the treatment is ended otherwise disappointments are almost sure to occur.

Page 24
The day that you give yourself your last injection, you count 72 hours (continuing with the
500 calorie diet for those 72 hours) from that last shot, then you start your
maintenance/stabilization phase. It is critical that you follow this phase as faithfully as you did the
injection phase because now is when your hypothalamus will reset, clearing off all the 'bad old
days' of yo-yo dieting and poor eating habits. That weight that you were the morning of your
last injection is the weight that you use as a basis for your maintenance phase. Many call this
LIW (Last Injection Weight). Anything OVER two pounds from that weight calls for a steak day.
