Good morning brothers and sisters! Musta? It’s been a month noong last time tayong nagmenet. Bago
pala tayo pumunta sa talk proper, allow me to introduce myself. I am Jimmy Navarro, you can call me
Jim for short. I am a graduate of Angeles University Foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Civil
Engineering. I am a Civil Engineer by profession and currently working sa BTS Construction Corporation.

saka yung pagrireachout sa mga Colleges and Universities, Parishes, Renewal Groups hindi lang sa
Pilipinas kundi sa buong Asia.

Finally yung Vision and Mission. Vision – Goal, Mission – Steps to achieve that Goal. VISION - We

transformation in society. MISSION - to evangelize the youth and train leaders for service to the Church.

C. WHY DO WE NEED TO EVANNGELIZE? Why there such an urgency to evangelize?

1. People around us are in need of God.

– Can I ask you a favor, may ballpen and notesba kayo? Or maybe sa cellphone na lang kung wala.
Kindly, list down yung mga taong kakilala ninyo na sa tingin ninyo kailangan maevangelize then isulat
yung reason kung bakit.

Let me give you 2 minutes. After 2 minutes I will ask 2 of you to share yung sinulat nila.

2. Evangelization is a command, and an urgent call, from the Lord himself.

– Allow me to show you 2 proofs that Evangelization is a command from God Himself

MATTHEW 28:18-20 Heto you tinatawag na Great Commission or Missionary Mandate sa Bible. Kung
mapapansin ninyo walan sinabi na “if you have time” or “try your best”, it is a direct command from
God.

II. OUR RESPONSE TO THIS CALL

If we believe that Evangelization is a direct command from God, what will be our right response?

A. EVANGELIZATION IS AT THE VERY HEART OF CYA - CYA MISSION – To evangelize the youth and train
leaders for service to the Church

B. PERSONAL MISSION - Besides our corporate mission, we want to challenge you to make this your
personal mission. We need you to help us (CYA) bring Christ to your friends, your classmates, family
members, and others in your circle of influence.

III. OBSTACLES TO RESPONDING TO THE CALL

Offcourse as we respond to God’s Call to evangelize, may mga obstacles tayong kakaharapin. Di papatalo
ang kalaban ni Lord, gagawa at gagawa siya ng paraan na tumigil tayo sa pagevangelize

Allow me to list these obstacles

A. FEAR OF REJECTION / FEAR OF FAILURE – Napakasakit mareject. Lalo na kung ang thinking mo is
para sa ikabubuti naman nung taong nagreject sa iyo ang ginagawa mo tapos ayaw nya pa. How
about ibahin yung thinking natin na instead na para sa kanya ang ginagawa mo, what if para kay
God ang ginagawa mo sa kanya.

Sino sa inyo natry ng magfishing or mamingwit ng isda? Ako natry ko na. Sometimes it takes a lot
of patience and effort kapag namimingwit ka. Alam mo may isda sa ilalim pero di kinakagat or
nirereject ang pain mo. Maaraing busy lang siguro ang mga isda kaya di nakikita yung pain mo
or baka ayaw nila yung pain mo. Pwede mong palitan ang pain mo or ibahin ang approach mo
kung nageevangelize ka. Just like my Supervisor then sa first work ko noong nasa BPO pa ako, si
 Sis Bheng, 2 times kong nireject ang invitation niya na pumunta sa Lingkod’s Prayer Meeting.
Nagdadahilan ako na may ibang lakad ako. Sis Bheng overcame that fear of rejection and
continue to invite me. After 3 tries, the rest is history, I became an active member of Lingkod
noon.

B. FEELING OF UNWORTHINESS – Sometimes we feel unworthy kaya di natin ineevangelize yung

mga tao killala yung dating tayo. Iniisip natin baka pagtawanan lang nila tayo. But remember
that we are not preaching ourselves but Jesus Christ; we are simply messengers with a message
from God. Minsan mas makakatulong pa nga yung feeling of unworthiness sa pagevangelize kasi
mas maaidentify ng tao na ineevangelize mo ang sarili nila, na kung ikaw ay kaya mong
magbago, kaya din nila.

C. COMPLACENCY - Heto ang pinakagusto ng kalaban ni Lord, maging complacent, oo di ka nagigive

up kahit narereject ka, pero dahil sa sobrang relax mo, nawawala na yung focus mo sa
pagevangelize, nabibitawan mo na yung taong prospect mo.

D. DOUBT – Heto rin ang pinakagusto ni Satan, magdoubt ka sa ginagawa mo at sa kaya mo pang
gawin. Remember, we are CYA, we are group of people with common vision and mission, we
have brothers and sisters, leaders who can help us, who can train and equip us regarding the
works of evangelization.

IV. HOW DO WE EVANGELIZE?

A. CHANGE LIVES THROUGH YOUR OWN CHANGED LIFE

You can evangelize indirectly kapatids, that is by doing good deeds or being a good example to others.
Lalo na kapag nakita nila yung dating ikaw at ngayon na nagbago ka na. For sure, tatanungin ka nila what
makes your life changed? Bakit ang sayasaya mo ngayon? Bakit napakapeacful ng mind mo? Bakit
tinalikuran mo na yung mga masama mong bisyo? Then that is the right time to talk about the Lord, on
how He changed you.

B. SHARING ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE OF GOD

After doing yung A. na pre-requisite of B, it is now easy for you to share your experience of God.
Remember when sharing your experience of God, make sure the main cast of the story is God not you.
Let God the center of our stories.

C. BUILDING BRIDGES

Because of having different culture, the gap between CYA and other people becomes wider. As CYA it is
your responsibility to bridge that gap. That is by bring people to our CYA events, especially those which
are specifically geared towards welcoming new people or evangelistic activities).  Be persistent in
inviting them, and once they’re there, make them feel welcome, introduce them to other CYA members,
help them understand what’s going on. If he/she into sports, you can ask help from CYA kapatids who
are also into sports. Be the bridge.
V. CONCLUSION

Kapatids as I close this Talk, I want to stress this 3 main bullets ng presentation ko as I give to you my

FIRST

CYA is

Your Family – Just like any family, it is your support group, it is a venue where you can discuss anything
that concerns you, nandyan ang mga brothers and sisters ninyo na tutulong sa inyo towards CYA Mission
that is to evangelize your people as your bring them closer to God

Your Movement – CYA is transitional for it only caters Your People, College or University students, hindi
naman forever student ka kaya bago matapos yung period mo or yung college or university years mo,
kailangan may papalit sa iyo para continue ang mission ng CYA. Imagine kapatids, without the efforts ng
mga ates at kuyas natin noon sa pageevangelize, do you thing nageexist pa rin ang CYA ngayon?

Your Outreach – Having a personal mission of evangelizing others, sometimes it not enough, you need a
group like CYA na kapareho ang mission mo at para mas madami ka pang maevangelize.

SECOND

The Heart of CYA is to Evangelize mapa CYA or Corporate Mission man yan or Personal Mission. Please
remember those obstacles (fear of rejection, feeling of unworthiness, complacency and doubts), try to
overcome them for they are the works of satan, just focus on our mission, to evangelize and evangelize
and evangelize.

THIRD

As you received much , so give much – As your received Christ, as your received brothers and sisters in
CYA, as your received those trainings an binibigay sa CYA, we can give much.

How? That is by sharing your time na kagaya nung pagshare ng time ng nagivite sa iyo, By sharing your
talent, gaya ng talent ni Rheign, I am sure madami naevangelize si rheign dahil sa talent niya, Baka may
talent ka rin, ishare mo. Pwede ding ishare yung treasure or resources mo, baka may mga gamit ka or
monetary na pwede mo ishare para makatulong sa evangelization effort ng CYA to bring more and more
people closer to the Lord.
