Significance of the Study

The researchers believes that this study will not only yield data that will be

performance tasks to students future preparedness, student can develop

crucial abilities such as critical thinking, problem solving, communication and

performance tasks in real life situations and enhance the overall preparedness

for the challenges they will face in the future

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

The second chapter of a research paper should contain a thorough review of all

relevant literature. The existing literature that is pertinent to the study

problem or topic is examined and summarized in this chapter. By locating prior

research studies, theories, and concepts pertinent to the research challenge, it

seeks to establish the significance and relevance of the current study. The

researcher hopes to find gaps in the literature and emphasize the need for

additional study through a critical examination of the available literature.

METHODOLOGY

This chapter contains the method that has been used in the study, the research

setting conducted, the respondents, the research instrument used and the

data gathering procedure.

The participants who were chosen to be interviewed are students of New
Cabalan National High School. The researchers questioned twenty (20)
respondents from Grade 10 students from New Cabalan National High School.
The Grade 10 students are currently encountering a lot of activities of
Performance Tasks which is why they are qualified in this study.

Research Locale

The study was conducted in a place in the school of SERGIA SORIANO ESTEBAN
INTEGRATED SCHOOL SPED CENTER l (SSEIS SC) in 64 National Road, Upper
Kalaklan, Olongapo City Zambales, Philippines.

The Research Instrument

The research instrument used in this study was a survey questionnaires

designed for the (Mention who are your target respondents). The
questionnaire for the (Mention who are your target respondents) to know
their opinions towards (TOPIC) The items in the first part of the questionnaire are
the personal profile of the respondents. The second part will determine their insights
about the effectiveness of performance tasks.

 In conducting the study, the student-researchers made a survey online that
will be answered by Grade 10 students. In conducting of the survey, the researchers
will kindly send the online form to different sections of Grade 10. After the survey,
the student-researchers will tally the gathered data from the Grade 10 students to
process it statistically.

RESULTS and DISCUSSION

In this study we found out that activities such as Authentic assessment, is not
a waste of money and time. Yet, useful to students in preparing for their future
endeavour. The best thing to learn and to apply is through having and doing such
performance task.

Being a responsible student, performance tasks should be given by our

teachers in order for us to gain additional knowledge and learnings about different
aspects in various subjects. It is an effective way to prepare students for future
career by developing important skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving,
communication and collaboration.

In addition, we conducted a student survey regarding performance tasks with

various questions in order to know their stands regarding this type of learning
aspect. Here are some questions;

Discussion

For question number one, twenty (20) out of twenty respondents agreed to the

question of “Does Performance tasks help you to maintain and enhance your

skills” This is a question that received a positive answer among students based

on our survey. Some student says that they are enjoying performance tasks if

these tasks are relative to their talents and abilities like singing, dancing, sports

and character personification. Performance tasks yield a tangible product

and/or performance that serve as evidence of learning.
