● Used to express certain hypothetical conditions, such as advice, capability, or requests
● Modal verbs are auxiliary verbs (also known as "helping verbs"). Normally modal verbs

cannot work alone and must work with a main verb.


The difference between modal verb and auxiliary verb
● Modal Verbs indicate possibility, probability, ability, permission, obligation, necessity, etc.

● Auxiliary Verbs indicate the tense, mood, grammatical aspect, etc. of the main verb.
