Detection of Listeria spp.

Compact Dry LS
Feature Compact Dry LS

Compact Dry LS is a simplified medium to identify

Listeria spp. by the combination of selective agents and
chromogenic substrates.

Sample : food and environmental sample

pH : 7.2±0.2
incubation : at 35 or 37℃±1℃,
24hr incubation, if necessary, additional 24hr
colony color: light blue / blue colonies
storage : one year after manufacturing at Room temperture
patent : pending
Benefit Compact Dry LS

Any food, beverage and water is possible as sample.

Sample : Solid food
Liquid food
Raw material
Animal feed
Beverage
Water
Environmental test (swab)

Identification and enumeration

of Listeria spp.
Produced by ISO 9001 registered factory
Example of naturally contamination Compact Dry LS

Listeria spp. forms light blue/blue colonies on the Compact Dry LS.
*identify Listeria spp. only, NOT identify L. monocytogenes.

Identification and enumeration of Listeria spp.

Confirmation of Listeria spp. :

-inoculation on TSYEA and incubation for 16 – 24 hr at 35C or 37C;
-catalase reaction;
-Gram staining;
-motility test (if necessary).

Confirmation of Listeria monocytogenes :

-haemolysis test;
-carbohydrate utilization;
-CAMP test.
