Chapter IV

Result & Discussion

This chapter present the result that revealed the out of 90 respondents of 30 Grade 7
maka-tao student generally have a satisfactory performance in their Mathematics
Subject in their Generαl Average which some of them in their section got 89 grades
during their 3rd quarter and become the highly numerated student. They were also
found to be proficient in conceptual understanding. In additions the 30 students of
maka-diyos got the 84 as their general average during their 3 rd quarter and become as
moderately numerated student also found to be moderately proficient in procedural
operations. On the other hands the 30 makakalikasan students got the lowest average
which is 74 during their 3rd quarter and become as non-numerated student, in fact they
were also found slightly proficient in strategic competence. Numeracy it is an ability to
understand and work with numbers : the quality or state of being numerate, it is an
essential way to enhance your mathematical skill. Data were also revealed that there is
significant relationship between students mathematics performance and their numeracy
literacy. In every graph above shows that the students chose the Addition as their
easiest operation and chose Division as their difficult operation.
CHAPTER V
Conclusion:
Based on the result of the research findings, Data were revealed that there is a -1
perfect correlational relationship between students’ mathematics performance and their
numeracy level. We, the researcher would like to prepare and recommend a various
classroom activity that would enhance students’ mathematical proficiency and help
them improve their higher order thinking skills. It was recommended that the activities
be validated prior to adoption and classroom implementation and that further studies be
conducted focusing on other aspects of mathematics proficiency.
