Background Of The Study
Bullying is a best issue that affects our communities, schools, and homes. we became
interested in this subject because bullying was an issue there in high school. Perhaps the
bullying it has experienced in the past has contributed to its current situation. For pupils who
have experienced bullying, this study is extremely helpful because it may help them learn
more, forget what happened to them, and also for their future and minimize or release them
from their past experience.
Bullying also contributes to suicide, which is a negative consequence. Even though bullying
seldom results in suicide in victims, the other negative consequences can be extremely
damaging and persist for a very long time. Despite the fact that many schools have a "zero
tolerance" policy against bullying, it can occasionally be challenging to separate the abusers
from the victims because young people are reluctant to speak up. Long-term issues like
anxiety and despair are brought on by bullying. The long-term effects of bullying as a child,
as well as the experience of his patients, claim that the anger, anxiety, and depression of that
time frequently persist into adulthood, posing difficulties with maintaining a job, forming
relationships, and even continuing to be a victim in abusive relationships or work
environments.
bullied students cannot focus to their school works that cause of having low grades. Frequent
absences from school due to bullying can also cause a child's grades to drop. Children who
are bullied complain of headaches, stomachaches, and general malaise. These problems are
usually caused by emotional distress manifesting as physical illness. Students who are bullied
often use physical complaints to get them expelled from school. In addition, daytime crime
contagion can be avoided. A particularly unfortunate effect of bullying is that some of the
bullied children later bully or harass other children.
Statement of the Problem
The purpose of the study was to describe the bullying cases among the students of Quezon
National High School. This study aimed to determine the incidence of bullying among High
School Students. This was to come up with suggestions to minimize bullying inside the
school premises. Bullying has become a major issue within the school system and it is a
serious problem affecting many schools around the world. Another serious effect that
bullying has is interrupting classroom and environment, and creating an uncomfortable and
hostile environment where students cannot focus on their learning. Students of the school are
constantly complaining about the behavior of other students.

Research Designs
The research that we were conducting is a qualitative research. The information to be
gathered are words and not numbers. This research is finding more about the bullying that's
happening in our school. To know if there are students who are experiencing bullying or have
experienced, students who are bullying other students, and their thoughts and feelings about
such incidents. We would also like to know the perspective of the students about bullying,
what they know about it, what do they think of it, and the relevance of being aware of it in
their lives. To find more information that can help in decreasing the bullying incidents on
QNHS.
Respondents
The respondents of this research are the Grade 7 to 11 students of QNHS with a total of 31
students. They are my chosen respondents because my research is about bullying in grade
school department and grade 7 to 11 students are old enough to answer and understand my
research questions.
Data Gathering
Researcher are going to create questionnaire for our survey and forward it to our teacher and
once the questionnaire approved then the researcher are going to gather data by handing out
questionnaires to my respondents. we will give them a set of questions to be answered. After
answering it and returning it to us, we will study and understand the answers we received.
The researcher will sort and evaluate all the data that we gathered. After studying and
analyzing them we will proceed and finalizing them.
Statistical Treatment
The responses of the respondents to the questionnaire checklist was carefully tallied,
arranged, and organized including those derive from interviews, observation, and
documentary analysis. The data presented, analyzed, and interpreted with used of weighted
mean, frequency counts, percentage, and ranking system.
The presentation, analysis and interpretation of the data will be based on the weighted mean
as shown by the scale ranges as follows (Calderon, 1993)
1. For Percentage Computation :
% = f/n x 100
Where:
% = percentage
F = number of respondents per item
N = total number of respondents
TWC
WM =

This Chapter presented, analyzed and interpreted all the data gathered in this study.
Presentation was done through the used of tables. Analysis and interpretations of data
done after tabular presentation.
Table 1
Gender profile
The table shows the sex profile of the respondents, the table shows that there were 19
or 63.4% of the respondents are males with rank 1, and 11 or 36.6% of females with
rank 2.
The above data shows that most of the respondents are males and not so many are
females. This implied that there is more males are cooperated with the researchers
during the study was conducted at Quezon National High School (QNHS).
Table 2
Age Profile
13 10 33.33% 1
14 4 13.33% 4
15 5 16.67% 3
16 9 30% 2
17 2 6.67% 5
Total 30 100%
The table 2 shows that there were 10 or 33.33% of respondents with the age of 13
and got the highest percentage (rank 1), 9 or 30% at the age of 16 got the rank two,
5 or 16.67% belongs to the age of 15 as ranked three; 4 or 13.33% at the age 14 as
rank 4; and the last ranked or lowest rank belong to the of 17 with 2 or 6.67%.
