1.Who is Henry V and what play is he from?

Henry V is a history play by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written near 1599.
It tells the story of King Henry V of England, focusing on events immediately before and
after the Battle of Agincourt during the Hundred Years' War.

2.Short summary
After an insult from the French Dauphin, King Henry V of England invades France to claim
the throne he believes should be his. Henry stops an assassination plot, gives powerful
speeches, and wins battles against the odds. In the end, he woos and marries the Princess of
France, linking the two nations.

Henry is brilliant, focused, fearless, and committed to the responsibilities of kingship. These
responsibilities often force him to place his personal feelings second to the needs of the
crown.

Throughout the play, Shakespeare also shows Henry as a good Christian, from how he
addresses others to how he prays to god before battle and ascribes the victory to him
