FIRST OPTION:
City Transportation Problem Solving.
Help the city of Lima identify streets and other transportation related issues such as filling
potholes and cracks, sweeping, and trimming vegetation.

Project Statement:
Residents of the City of Lima are concerned about the potholes in their neighborhood due to the
constant problem with their safety.

Problem the company is facing:

We are a construction company that will routinely maintain the roads by cleaning, trimming, and
fixing the potholes. This maintenance will be performed every three months to mitigate the risk
of injuries in each neighborhood. An initial estimation for the repair and labor needed for each
pothole is roughly $150 per pothole. This estimation is dependent on the average pothole size
encountered in the city.

Technical Requirements:
The worker will need utilities material such as a shovel, and asphalt to repair the
potholes;
Some utilities materials will be required such as shovel, truck to compact the patching
materials or any trailer mounted spray injection for other parching operations.

Specification on trailer:
2'x4' heating zone
Heating area 16 square feet
Fuel consumption : 12lbs/ hr
Electrical: 12 V deep cycle Battery
Heat out: 280,000 BTU
Budget: $9000

SECOND OPTION:
Application for a hotel sector.

Help a medium-sized company in the hotel sector named "El Buen Amanecer" to improve its
management of room reservations, improve product inventory control and control of equipment
for cleaning, washing and property.

Project Statement:
The manager and owner of the company is concerned about the control of room reservations;
since the records are manual, there was an imbalance in the cash flow during the day. As for the
products sold to guests, they do not match what is usually assigned weekly to each receptionist.
The manager does not know if the receptionists are using the cleaning equipment properly and if
they are lying to him. He fears that they are stealing from him.

Problem the company is facing:

● Loss of accessories in the passageways

● During the week cleaning items are missing, usually the receptionist asks for the purchase
of additional ones.
● Unbalanced cash flow.
● Bad organizational culture.
● Lack of honesty and trust from employees.

How can we solve it?

We are a company that develops and sells monitoring equipment where we focus on making web
applications for any business in the commercial and hotel sector. We offer a monthly payment
package of $79 dollars which includes the following benefits: support and deployment to

restaurant to place their order during peak hours. Seeing the long queues, some clients tend to go
to the other restaurants nearby.

Problem the company is facing:

● Long waiting times to order.

● Not enough tables available for customers.
● Not enough waiters to attend to the customers.
● Lack of organization in the restaurant.
