JOURNAL ENTRY
Week 3 (October 3-7, 2022)
On this day, we submitted our Final Draft of cross-examination questions. Frankly, the group found it difficult to formulate the necessary cross-
examination questions since we do not know who the witnesses for the prosecution are (except the private complainant), their relationship to the
private complainant and/or the accused, and their knowledge of the case. Consequently, the group decided that Mr. Manalo shall be the lead intern
in the coming hearing. Subsequently, we were tasked to study trial objections and procedures in a direct examination. (4)
Atty. Patajo introduced Atty. Joshua Estipona to us, who will be our supervising lawyer at the coming hearing, on October 6, 2022, Thursday. We
agreed to have a group meeting, the following topics were covered: an overview of the People vs Calucad, the possible witnesses to be presented by
the prosecution, and the possible objections we may do in case the prosecution presents its witnesses. (5)
This is the day of the trial, October 6, 2022. We arrived early on that day, 7:00-7:30 a.m. The case of People vs Calucad, our case, was numbered 10
on the list of the court calendar. However, sadly, the trial did not happen because the prosecutor was on leave, which is why, the case was reset to
November 24, 2022. (6)
Online duty via Gathertown. Some members of the group had their CLEP Oath Taking at the sala of Executive Judge Wilhelmina Jorge-Wagan of
Pasay City RTC.
JOURNAL ENTRY
Week 4 (October 10-14, 2022)
This marks the 4th week of our internship.
We were tasked to identify the two persons who accompanied the private complainant, if they were included as the witness/es for the prosecution, in
order for us to properly draft questions for the cross-examination of said witness/es.
We started to draft comment/opposition on the formal offer of exhibits of the prosecution.
Online duty via Gathertown.
