The land of fairy tales and legends, beautiful princes and princesses, majestic palaces and

the world has not become dull yet.

The spiritual source. The territory of yogi and wise old men. The place where you can go and
find peace in your own soul. The country where people still retain the old secrets of the world.

To every Indian reading this, I beg you to please STOP blindly loving Russia for nothing but political
reasons.

Most Russians have no idea about India’s success, economic growth, and future potential. Most of
them don’t even think of India, even if they do, all they think of poverty, bad hygiene and people
living in terrible conditions. They have no idea about India’s economic growth and future projections.

I know this because I have visited Russian-only sites and have seen a few discussions about India. All
of their points and arguments were horrible. They all viewed India as a failed, underdeveloped and
crashing country with no future. I was also a huge fan of Russia before this, but all of this stuff just
eroded all of my love towards it pretty fast.

A few of the points I saw

“Things are so bad in India that, the state equipped the Indian army with sticks and stones”
(referring to the 2020 India-China border dispute)

“The streets of India make Africa look clean” (referring to Goa)

“There’s an anti sanitary movement going on in India”

“India? A future super power? Really?”

Sure there’s a lot of poverty in India, but the average Russian thinks all Indians are extremely poor.
They are not aware of the fact that the Indian middle-class and upper-middle-class even exist.

They just don’t realize that Russia isn’t too far ahead of India in terms of quality of life!

If you’re in love with Vladamir Putin, please make a note that most Russians don’t really like his
leadership.

I’m sure there are a few people in Russia who understand India, but those people are few and far
between. Just understand that the average Russian does not really like India like the way Indians love
Russia.

If you still continue to love Russia blindly for no reason (other than politics), go on making a
fool out of yourself!

Hi! My personal attitude to India and it's people is very positive. I've never been to India, but I'm going
to visit it some day (hopefully soon). So, my attitude is based on those pieces of Indian culture, that we
can study here in the middle of Russia.
From here it looks to me like every Indian has a deeply philosophical uderstanding of life, very high
moral and spiritual values, that are consistently destroyed in western culture, where $$$ is now the
one and only value that people pursuit. ButContinuethats only how I feel it.

India is beautiful and mysterious country, with great ancient culture. Bright colors, emotional people
and different traditions. For me, Indian culture is very interesting. Indian traditional dance is
fascinating. Sari is excellent feminine clothes. I like the way Indians follow their traditions: supressing
the worst and supporting the best ones. I appreciate how they manage to keep in peace the country
which is so densely populated and so diverse in terms of ethnicity and religion. Indians are very friendly
and polied people.

I like India. Well, I haven’t been there yet.

We only see India and Indians as positive people and don't have any negative views about Indians. Also
many Indian movies are available on Russian TV (and I watched some) and Russia as a country has very
good relationships with India.
Many of my friends have been in India and liked it, because people are friendly and it was very cheap to
travel and stay there.

Originally Answered: What do Russian people think about India? Russia has been India's ally through thick and thin. how
does an average Russian feel about this?

Average Russians usually think that India is a big country, having big army and nuclear power, beeing
friendly to Russia. Practically all people whose childhood was in soviet times, remember the name of
“Indira Ghandi” with positive assiciation.

Also Russian (especialy yonger than 35) associate India with good and cheap beach leisure (Goa), and
with Himalaya, mystic and yoga. Indian cinema is a funny thing for Russians - many jokes about it
(Russians can’t understand why heroes of Indian films always dance and sing - it’s not natural for our
culture).

So the whole image of India is rather good, without any negative thoughts. But tourists, who have been
in Dehli usually say it’s very dirty in India, and many very poor people.

I have seen many of my russian friends are feeling indias dialogues with USA as a threat to Indo-
Russian Friendship. Let me clarify a few things:
1. Russia is under heavy sanctions by the west, still india has not supported the sanctions on Russia
and will never do.
2. Political attachment to the usa is mainly due to the chinese threat in Indian Ocean and south china
sea. Similarly russia is improving ties with china.

It would generally be good, considering the fact that India and Russia have been close allies since ages.
India has developed missiles in joint venture with Russia. There are regular military exercises between
India and Russia. India buys a lot of arms from Russia.

General Indian regards Russia as a friendly country - even India's best friend. Consider the fact that
Russia has supported Indian claims in most international forums and backed India's stance on Kashmir.
Russia also supports Indian claims in UN.

The first thing when I think about India is tea. The second is the poorness.

I do not why.

Another thing is the rich culture of this country. This is one of the countries which doesn’t look like any
other country in the World.

I suppose that it’s a great country an I have plans to visit it once.
