8 And he entered the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly,
reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God. 9 But when
some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the
Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the
disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus.[c] 10 This
continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of
the Lord, both Jews and Greeks...

17 And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and
Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was
extolled. 18 Also many of those who were now believers came, confessing
and divulging their practices. 19 And a number of those who had
practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the
sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty
thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord continued to increase
and prevail mightily. - Acts 19

FINAL WEEK OF OUR SERIES FROM THE INSIDE OUT.

For all of us to be aligned with that phrase that is really beautiful especially
as we apply it to our faith.

We definitely celebrate good behaviours, good things that we see on the
outside but we are basically saying that it shouldn’t be superficial. It should
be coming from within.

And to be honest especially during my high school days I would want to
be part of the church activities dahil makukulit ang mga kaibigan,
kabarkada kong andun. I wasn’t really after the teachings of the church.
Thank God that He uses people to patiently teach us and disciple us. Hindi
man tayo perpekto pero nag-gogrow at nagbabago.

Sa series na to we are studying the book of Acts and how the Holy Spirit
was moving in the early church as the good news of Jesus was preached.
Ano tong good news na to?

WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN JESUS WILL NOT PERISH…

From Chapter 19, makikita natin ang mga importanteng bagay na to.
Some iportant things that we can note from Acts 19

THE GOOD NEWS WAS / IS / WILL BE PREACHED

8 And he entered the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly,
reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.

9… and he took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of
Tyrannus.[c] 10 This continued for two years, so that all the residents of
Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks...

He's preaching in the synagogues, he was preaching to the scattered

Jews. It was preached, Jesus said GO & PROCLAIM, it will continually be
preached.

I married a missionary who preached the gospel in Papua New Guinea.

We went to some other countries, in fact team mates kami ni Warren when
we went to Macau for a short term missions.

Before we go out, we preach it where we are!

We do it here and now. Pray for them, believe for opportunity. Go ahead
and believe for more, reach for more. There will be people who are more
than willing and ready.
It's Jesus' command, it's the power of God for salvation of everyone who
believes

KNOW / TELL THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS TODAY.

THERE WAS / IS / WILL BE OPPOSITION

9 But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking
evil of the Way before the congregation…

I'd rather be chill. May umiiyak, bakit iiyak? OA?

Taas ng kamay, nakakapagod, kailngan ba? chill lang ako
Iyong love pala ni Lord uncontainable, it's so great you will be left in awe
To some, we can resist, we can have reservations (for now, if you have that,
it's okay)

They don't want to be told what to do, we pursue what is comfortable,

what is convenient, what brings us thrill and satisfaction even for a short
time.

That's what sin does. What excites you? What gives you drive?
We preach and continue to preach
You don't exactly know what hangs in the balance.
You don't know what God is doing as you respond in obedience.
We lead them to a relationship, we let our life speak.

There will be mockers and users….

Seven sons of Sceva… Wanting benefits but not really surrendering.

Until the fulness of time, the return / second coming of Jesus, the enemy
will be at work. Blinding people and wanting them to be swayed away
from God. There’s spiritual battle or warfare. We are to continue to
proclaim, the opposition and challenges are given. Sharing the things
of God will not be easy.
THERE WAS / IS / WILL BE CONVERSIONS

Not really of religion but from life of sin to a life of obedience and personal
relationship with Jesus.

9… he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him, reasoning
daily in the hall of Tyrannus.[a] 10 This continued for two years, so that all
the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

- Acts 19

Both Jews and Greeks / New Believers and Already Following… Revivals
happened…

They will receive the message, they will respond, it will make sense
God will meet them. They will have a deep and radical transformation

There will be renouncing of sin. RENOUNCE - Pride, cursing, cussing,
comparison, insecurity, unforgiveness, hatred, pornography, immorality,
addiction, lies, victim mindset, duplicity, irresponsibility, apathy, laziness.

Christianity is not a matter of providing a list of religious rules, but
experiencing the saving and transforming power of Jesus as we put
our trust in Him.
