All Turnstile Security System's products are warranted against defects in material or workmanship for a period
of 18 months from date of shipping. We will repair or replace at our discretion any defective product, provided it
is returned to our factory. Please contact our service department before returning any product.
Warning: When pressure is applied, the swivel arms, standing columns, pedestals
and connecting tubes of the entry, intermediate and exit sections can break.
Result: Breakage of swivel arms, standing columns, pedestals and connecting tubes
and danger of injury for persons.
► Make sure that no goods are placed on the swivel arms or connecting tubes or that
the swivel arms and connecting tubes are not used as a support point.
► Clarify before drilling attachment holes to see if the supply lines are lying underneath
the intended location.
Safety
Caution: With a ground that cannot carry the weight, possibly the standard fixing is not sufficient.
Result: Insufficient fixing of the standing columns and the pedestals and the danger for persons and the
product.
► Use fixing material which corresponds with the ground or glued anchor etc.
► Use, if necessary, with deeper lying concrete layers longer screws and spacer sleeves.
The opening of the exit system in exit direction follows by an external opening signal (e.g. from
a Pay-Tower etc.)The exit system closes after a preadjusted hold open time which will be started
again if necessary by a light barrier when passing the exit system.
The closing impulse will be triggered by a light barrier in the standing column or after the door
hold open time is over

Does after passing the light barrier another person (e.g. a child) interrupts the light barrier, the
hold-open time will be started again. Does another person pass the light barrier during the swivel arms already
start closing, the
swivel arms will open again and will close after the expiration of hold-open time. Will the light barriers after an
external open signal not be passed, the swivel arms will stay open
for an also adjusted waiting time (independent on the hold-open time) and close after that
waiting time.
Does the radar recognize a movement in the sensor range of the radar and if the waiting time
is not over, the swivel arms open synchronous.
After passing the light barrier in the standing column and run out of the preadjusted hold-open
time the swivel arms will be closed again.
Does after passing the light barrier another person interrupt the light barrier, the hold-open time
will be started again.
Should another person pass the light barrier, the hold-open time will be started new again, as
long as the last person has passed the light barrier.
Does another person pass the light barrier during the swivel arms already start closing, the
swivel arms will open again and will close after the expiration of hold-open time.
Caution: The swivel arm can in case of panic be opened by 90° in both directions.
Overstretching this leads to damage of the system.
Result: Damage of the system and a panic function which does not function.
► Make sure that the swivel arm when triggering the panic function is not over-stretched.
Leaving the sales room through the system, e.g. in a case of panic, is possible insofar as there is a
corresponding counter pressure on the swivel
arm.
Through the force effect, the positioning of the swivel arm is released.
This can be moved and the passage is free.
At the same time an acoustic alarm sounds.
After triggering the panic function, the swivel arm automatically goes
back to the operating position (closed position).
The acoustic alarm stops as soon as the closed position is reached again.
The panic function does not work when the system is shut off.
The swivel arm is then freely moveable.
The panic direction (direction exit) is visible through a sticker on the standing columns.
For the connection of the system with a fire alarm system or the likes turn to your Turnstile Security Systems
Inc service partner.

The exit section (N) is always after the last standing column and limits
the swivel area of the second swivel arm.
The mains power supply can follow alternatively from the ceiling. Thus if necessary
you can do without constructional measures and rebuilding is simplified.
The Series 4000 Auto Gate columns are prepared for the power supply from the ceiling
from the
factory. The internal power supply lines for the connection in the covering cap is
integrated in the column.
With double systems, the cross connection can also follow through the ceiling.
5.7.2 Tandem Radar (not with Series 4000 Auto Gate Security):
With systems without entry section, a second radar module
also covers customers coming from angles and triggers an
opening impulse.
The radar coverage areas can be adjusted individually to the
situation on location.
The optical panic alarm is however only possible if the power supply does
not follow from the ceiling.
A reset key on the counter makes it possible to set the counter back to zero.
With the radio remote control one or more systems can be remotely controlled.
If there is a person or an object in the monitored area, the light barriers recognise
this and stop the movement of the swivel arm.
After leaving the exit section area, the swivel arm is released again.
The control unit can report the counted persons with the standard available
interface (RS 485) on a subordinate evaluation device (Windows PC with the
software customer frequency measurement).
A maximum of 31 Series 4000 Auto Gate systems can be networked with one
PC.
The data are stored in the PC and are available for further evaluation.

Warning: Voltage which can be dangerous when touched in the line of the system.
Result: When touching with power currency danger of injury including death.
► To separate from the mains, only use a separation means which has a contact opening
width of at least 3 mm on each pole.
Warning: Improper connection of the protective earth can be a danger to life in case
of an error.
Result: In case of an error injury through electrical shock. Danger to life!
►Allow the protective earth connection be carried out through an electrician only!

protective earth line of the standing
column is properly connected to
the power supply (E).
► Clamp the power supply to the cold
straight plug.
► Plug the straight plug in the power
supply (F).
► Insert the power supply back into the
standing column.
► Attach the power supply again with the
two attachment screws (A) on the
standing column.
The waiting time (90/120 sec) depends on the position of the DIP selection
switch.
The hold-open time (0-15 sec) depends on the position of the time select
switch.
8.1.2 No Passing of the Exit Gate after Opening of the Swivel Arms
8.1.3 Passing the Exit gate with many Persons after Opening the Swivel
Arms
The swivel arms are closed
► Trigger an external release signal (e.g. payment at the pay-tower).
The swivel arms open.
► Pass the columns in exit direction.
Hereby you interrupt the light barrier in the columns.
► Let another person or more persons pass the light barriers in the hold-open time period.
The swivel arms are closing after each passing by the light barriers by the last
person and
after elapsed hold-open time.
Caution: The swivel arm can in case of panic be opened by 90° in both
directions.
Overstretching this leads to damage of the system.
Result: Damage of the system and a panic function which does not function
► Make sure that the swivel arm when triggering the panic function is not over-stretched.
Regular cleaning, care and checking will preserve the value of the system.
► Clean the system regularly after the startup with a soft clean towel and with 25 °C warm water
with dishwashing detergent.
► Only slightly dampen the cleaning towel.
► With the stainless steel parts after drying off apply the stainless steel protector INOX Brilliant to
the surface.
► With the stainless steel parts, if necessary, use Scotch Polishing pads to remove rust film, clean
the surface and apply the stainless steel protector INOX Brilliant.
► Turnstile Security Systems Inc recommends that you completely clean the turnstile regularly, at
least every six months.
► Do not use any material made from microfibre or similar when cleaning the system.
► Clean the reflex mirror with systems with light barriers in short regular intervals with a soft cotton
towel.
Danger: The system contains mains voltage which can be dangerous when
touched.
Result: Danger of electrical shock.
