Adam couldn’t wait to meet his friends at the mall.

He ran across the road that is in

between the mall and the other side. He ran as fast as he could hoping that he would make it
before any car approached. Out of blue, a bright light blinded his eyes and he was stunned
for a while. It was a car approaching him but he couldn’t move. The car was so fast that his
legs were frozen as if he was tied to a ton of ice.

The car’s driver was in panic and tried to stop but it’s too late. The car threw Adam off not
so far but he was severely injured. He stood up because his body was still in a state of
shock. His father that dropped him off just now rushed at Adam and held him back down.
Everyone’s jaw dropped in disbelief of what just happened. “Someone call 911 !”, Adam’s
father shouted.

After a while, ambulance sirens heard from afar. Two paramedics came down the
ambulance with a stretcher. Adam was lifted onto the stretcher carefully because he seems
to be in a critical condition. Subsequently, while in the ambulance along the journey, the two
paramedics take care of Adam. They had to intubate him since he’s struggling to breathe.

As they arrived at the hospital, the doctors rushed him into an operating room. He was
treated for almost two hours because of internal damage. Gratefully, he survived despite his
injuries. He was placed in a patient room. His friends came to see him. They feel bad for
what happened to Adam and wish him a sooner recovery. Adam’s father regretted his action
of letting him crossed the road by himself.
