In recent weeks, some really strange weather has been happening all around the world and
people had started to worry.
In Europe, there has been a lot of heavy rain that caused big floods in many places. Houses
and buildings must have been damaged, and some towns have even been completely
underwater. The government said that we need to declare a state of emergency in some
areas, and they are working hard to help the people that could have been affected.
At the same time, in the United States, a very powerful hurricane hit the Gulf Coast. It
caused a lot of destruction with strong winds and heavy rain. Many towns near to the coast
have been flooded, and lots of people don't have electricity and we saw that the emergency
services was helped the people who are stuck or in need of supplies.
These strange weather events have made people worried about climate change. Scientists
have been saying for a while that when the Earth gets hotter, the weather can get more
extreme. While it's hard to say for sure if these events are directly because of climate
change, they insist on something is not right.
Experts are saying that we need to take action to protect the Earth because the Earth
warned us to save it. They say we should have stopped using so many things that make
greenhouse gases, like cars and factories. They advised us to start using more renewable
energy, like solar and wind power. They believe that if we work together, we can make a
difference and prevent more extreme weather in the future.
