AUTONOMOUS REGION IN MUSLIM MINDANAO
(MOH-BARMM)AND ALL OTHER CONCERNED

SUBJECT $
Dissemination of the Geographically-Isolated and Disadvantaged
Areas (GIDA) Profiling and Information System Toolkit

is
to disseminate the Geographically-Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA)
This
Profiling and Information System Toolkit, for your information and reference.

In support of the Universal Health Care Act (RA 11223), the Administrative Order
No. 2020-0023 "Guidelines on Identifying Geographically-Isolated and Disadvantaged
Areas and Strengthening their Health Systems" was issued containing criteria for identifying
GIDA barangays as priority areas in the provision of assistance from the national
government, local government, and other health partners.

The GIDA Information System was also developed as the core monitoring and
evaluation system of this policy to determine current health status and health intervention
gaps in the identified GIDA. Further, the Information System will automatically identify and
validate GIDA barangays, analyze gaps and identify priority areas and their needs with the
use of the GIDA Profiling Tool.

The GIDA Profiling and Information System Toolkit will serve as a guide for all
stakeholders especially the Local Government Units and Centers for Health Development in
the GIDA profiling, validation and uploading of data in the GIDA Information System.

The toolkit was developed by the Bureau of Local Health Systems Development in
consultation with the CHDs and Ministry of Health-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in
Muslim Mindanao GIDA Coordinators. It can be accessed through the link:
