Kazuya was born of a demon and a human. He was born with strange
markings on specific parts of his body: his arms, and face. Despite being
part demon, he was always calm, didn't show any signs of aggressive,
and he was also very kind. His father is a man who possesses great
strength, and is the one who taught Kazuya the breath of shadows.
Despite being very capable, he never became a demon slayer.

His mother, who is a demon, escaped from muzan and decided to live
amongst humans where she met Kazuyas father. His father was the one
who suggested he became a demon slayer, being a close friend and
companion of Ubyashiki. It didn't take him too long to move up the ranks,
as he'd already possess great physical attributes Greater than a hashira.
He swore to stick by the Corps and aid in eradicating the demons and
defeat muzan.

He possessed great regenerative capablity and stamina, and was able

to manifest Shadow-like energy through his attacks. In every one of his
encounters with a demon, he never expresses and hatred towards them,
for he believed the true devil was the progenitor himself, muzan.
