Foreword
In 2015 I did a quiz that changed my life. Well, it changed my
life a bit. It was by Richard Osman, and it was a fun little thing full
of puns. I solved it over two days with my family, and enjoyed it
immensely.
The following year, I thought it would be nice to make one of
my own for Christmas. So I did. And every year since then, I’ve
made another. This is a collection of all of them.
It’s become a ritual of sorts for me — I start thinking about it in
August, and then begin a flurry of work in November.
What’s quite lovely, though, is that it’s become a ritual of sorts
for some of you as well, to settle in on the couch with family each
year. That’s very, very special to me. So thank you very much to
you, for solving these. Without a solver a puzzle is meaningless.
Thank you also to Kirsty, Elaine, Rob, Marcie, Kieran, Matt and
Jen, who have all been excellent test solvers, cheerleaders and
guest contributors over the years. Their feedback is what makes
these quizzes what they are.
Thank you also to Ellie Featherston, for laying out my nonsense
words so beautifully.
Finally, thank you also to my supporters on Patreon, who make
this work possible. To join them visit patreon.com/jimfishwick
You can send me feedback on these quizzes by emailing me at
boop@jimfishwick.com or on social media at @fimjishwick.
