ACTIVITY 2

1. Based on our discussion, how did you discover your own gender?

- After the discussion it gave me a clarification about my gender. As I always says that

my gender is ‘male’ which is wrong when it comes to gender identity since it is my

‘sex’. In our discussion about gender identity, there is a ‘cisgender’ which define a

gender identity that matches the biological sex. With this, I found out my gender that

I am a cisgender male.

2. Is there a distinction between homosexual and LGBTQIA+ roles?

- Homosexual is a sexual orientation that means being attracted exclusively to people

of one’s own sex or gender. It’s specify the sexually attraction of a person to another

person. While LGBTQIA+ is a gender identity which means is each person's internal

and individual experience of gender. It is one's innermost concept of self as male,

female, a blend of both or neither.

In conclusion, the distinction between homosexual and LGBTQIA+ is what they’re

underneath. As homosexual is a sexual orientation which is more on a emotional,

romantic or sexual attraction to other people. While LGBTQIA is a gender identity

which is based on how individuals perceive themselves and what they call

themselves. Furthermore, an individual’s sexual orientation is independent of their

gender identity.
