My business idea is to offer a business that supplies tools and construction products.

It

has a very big market all over the world. All over the world, daily millions of tools and

construction products like electricity, hardware is selling to the customers. I belong to a business

family, my father is building contractor, and that’s the reason why I know this business very

well. This leads to the idea for me to open one superstore same like a home depot in my home

country.

In India construction and tools products are not standardize and not available under one

shelf. That’s why all the contractors, builders and potential customers need to go different stores

to buy all the different variety of product for the house which consume a lot of time and

travelling cost. This store might save a lot of time, provide a lot of variety and save a lot of

travelling cost because customers get all product under one place that’s why travelling costs

might be standardized.

This store would provide all the products which are important to make a dream house,

 Building materials like cement, sand, stone, wood, tiles, iron and so on

 Plumbing like pipes and fitting, pluming valves, water heaters, water pump and so

on.

 Electrical – wires, dimmers, switches, outlets, electrical boxes, conduit, fittings,

wall platies, cords, breaker panels, home security, fire alarm and so on.

 Bath – bath tubs, showers, faucets, vanities, sinks, toilets, and more bathroom

accessories.

 Kitchen – kitchen cabinets & drawers, countertops, appliances, sinks, faucets and

kitchen hardware’s.

 Lighting and smart home etc.


The target market of this store will be focus on three types of customer.

 Do-it-without anyone else's help clients, for example, house owner. These clients

purchase items and introduce themselves utilizing on the web or in-store assets.

 Do-it-for-me clients incorporate those searching for outsiders to give establishment

administrations. This store will give a few establishment administrations including

flooring, cupboards, ledges, water radiators, and sheds. The organization will

additionally provide in-house counseling and establishment administrations.

 Proficient clients will involve contractual workers, manufacturers, merchants,

promotion and discounts cards which attract professional customers. Because

I am planning to open this superstore in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. My father has a 5 acres

land mid in the Jalandhar city. I am planning to open the warehouse store over there. This store

location is prefect because the railway and airport are so near to this place. This will help me to

transport goods. Also, this land is attached with main highway 44. That’s why customers will not

face any problem to reaching to this store. This store will use 30% of their land for a parking to

the customers. Moreover, the area of our land is also efficient for garbage pickers.

According to my point of view, Partnership form would be best suit for this business.

Because it will not possible for one person to open such a big store in India because this would

be cost a lot. Further, if I will share my business then all the tax and liability will divide. This

company would be offer both general and limit partnership agreement offers. But only general

partners will have right to vote in management decisions according to share of capital in
business. I will hold 51 percent partnership share to take the whole management decisions. If I

would like to take any big decision which will affect my business then I would like to assign or

discuss my idea with my partners or experts and whole educated management to make best and

effective decision which will also helpful for our company growth and our customers.

If this model will work then I am planning to open one more store in Ludhiana after 2 years.

My plan will be to open a franchise of this business if this business plan will work well, I will

continuously open a franchise in whole India because it is a developing country. For whole this

business model I need 20 crore India rupees. My parents and elder brother will support me to

hold 51 percent of the company share. I will use digital marketing to promote this store and

telling the customers about new offers.

In order to open this construction hardware and house material store, I think these are some

of the important aspects to evaluate before opening.

 Market – market place one of important aspect of my business because over their

business will going to sell all the products and services to the customers. This

business is only depending on the quality market. These business customers include

regular and professional customers like contractors, skilled people in particular field

and so on. If our company create good relationship with then there will much chances

of success in the market.

 Management - management is a back bone of the any business. So, it is so important

for my business to select educated and experienced staff. In my hometown there is so

much competition is this business. That’s why if I get best management then this

business might be get best ideas and strategies to get maximum amount of the

customers.

 Customers and clients – customers and clients are so significant because company

will sell products and outputs to them as well as customers has power to make any

business or shut out any business. That’s why this company would try to serve the

customers with best quality products with affordable pricing to maximize the

customers. This business has three types of target customers.

I. Do-it-yourself customers – these type customers include owners, household

wife/husband. To attract this customer sector this company would provide them

whole installing guides, warranty, return policy, daily discount online and offline

and also delivery option for big items.


II. Do-it-yourself customers – these customers segment include third parties to

provide installation services. This company will provide several installation

services including flooring, cabinets, countertops, water heaters, and sheds. This

company will provide installing services by professionals within affordable

pricing.

III. Professional customers – To get the maximum amount of the market share in my

hometown I need to grap maximum amount of the professional customers. That’s

why this company will give the 20-30 per cent discount to on every product as

well as free delivery service within 20 km area. Also company would introduce

membership option to them.

 Start-up capital – for the setup this business I need so much money because this will

be so big project. For the warehouse setup, assets and stocking company need almost

4 core plus Indian rupees. That’s why my family will support me and I will take self-

set up loan from the bank. In the future if this business will do best then company will

issue stocks to raise capital for more grow up.

 Facilities and location – nowadays to reach to the customer’s location and facilities

matter a lot. Because these day customers not just prefer quality product they want

quality service. For these facilities like parking lot, location selection, clean

environment, easy transportation and so on I am planning to setup first warehouse of

this company in sport capital of India Jalandhar city. My father has 4 across land in

Jalandhar. This location is perfect to setup this business because this land connects

with highway 44 and near to the bus station, train station and airport. That’s why

customers will find easy to reach to this location as well as this location connects with
the entire developing town and villages which are best suited for company’s output

growth.
