Waiter/waitress
 Greet customers and seat them according
to their preferences

or servers' station, setting up or
breaking down a salad bar,
emptying trash containers, refilling
ice bins or performing general
cleaning chores.
 In restaurants without runners,
bussers sometimes perform many
of a runner's duties.
Kitchen Staff
 Perform all the tasks in the kitchen other than cooking
and serving
 Clean the kitchen remains before the surprise
inspections
 Prep the kitchen before the chefs arrive to cook
 Remove the required ingredients from the pantry and
have to clean and cut the vegetables in advance
 Assist the chefs if they require help
 Fill up the positions of the absent staff and complete

restaurants, the runner is responsible for placing the
plates.
