Dear Sir,

Reference to subject, attached please find our response for onward transmission. In document "Final
FOTCO Response", we have discussed potential hazards of EHV Transmission Lines over Oil/Gas
Pipelines and have recommended re-routing of new Transmission Lines. However, crossing or even
parallel laying (for short distances of few kilometers) of Oil and Gas Pipelines and Power Transmission
Lines is a fairly common Phenomenon around the globe. The Electromagnetic Effects are very well
understood and different methods are available to mitigate the effects.

There is no minimum mandatory separation distance mentioned in International Standards between the
Power Transmission Lines and Oil / Gas Pipelines but instead the mitigation procedures are defined due
to the fact that it’s a common phenomenon.

Submitted for your review, please.
