Configuring JRC FBB 250/500 to work with Safe@Sea Firewall.

1. Verify that your PC is set to achieve automatic IP address.


2. Connect your PC to the JRC FBB LAN port using an Ethernet cable.
3. Start the JRC launcher software
(Can be downloaded at http://www.jrcamerica.com/download/JRCLauncherV2_2.0.4.8.zip)

Wait for the CM and IB indicators to change to "Connected".


The username and password are 'ADMIN' and '0001'.
Click on 'LOGIN'.

4. Go to 'Port' section on the left menu, and verify that the 'Ethernet' sub-section is configured as
shown below:

‐ IP: 192.168.128.100
‐ Mask: 255.255.255.0
‐ DHCP: select 'OFF' from the drop down list.
‐ Click on 'SET' to save the configurations.
‐ Click on OK on the pop-up window that will appear

5. Go to 'Network' section on the left menu, select 'APN Profile' from the scroll down and make
sure all configurations are as shown below:

‐ Name: Safe@Sea
‐ APN:
o select 'User defined' from the drop down list.
o Write 711.bgan.inmarsat.com on the below field.
‐ User: as received from Station711 Support Team.
‐ Pass: as received from Station711 Support Team.
‐ Global IP: Dynamic.
‐ Click on 'SET' to save the configurations.
‐ Click on OK on the pop-up window that will appear.

6. On the same section, on the drop down menu, select the 'Packet detection activate' option, and
configure the first raw as shown below:

‐ Mark the '5' sign.


‐ Set the 'Base IP' to 192.168.128.254.
‐ Set the 'Count' to 1.
‐ Select the Profile Safe@Sea from the drop down menu.
‐ Click on 'SET' to save the configurations.
‐ Click on OK on the pop-up window that will appear.

7. Go to 'Export' on the left menu, select 'ALL' from the drop down list, and then click on the
'EXPORT' button.

Save the configuration file on your PC.


Email the exported configuration file to Dotan Sofer at Dotan@oferg.com

8. Reboot the terminal, and connect the wires for operational setup with the Safe@Sea firewall.
