Throughout the story, Alice struggles with her own identity, unsure of
who she is and what she stands for. She encounters characters like
the Caterpillar, who asks her to define herself, which she don't really
know. These encounters force Alice to confront the question of who
she really is and what defines her identity. The book teaches us that
identity is not something fixed, but rather something that is
constantly changing. We can learn that we shouldn't be afraid to
explore and experiment with different aspects of ourselves and that
our identity is not defined by what people think or expect from us.
Carroll uses surrealism and fantasy to explore the theme of identity in
a unique way. By creating a fantasy world, Carroll is able to dive
deeper into the meaning identity and the ways in which it can be
influenced by our environment and experiences.
